Telegraph reporting a 3-way race between Knights/Tigers/Bulldogs for Frizell (guess they haven't heard about the Raiders yet). Also says some clubs have already been made aware that Elliott & Hetherington could both be available.
Ok, they were both signed just before Parr arrived, but how all over the place is our recruitment?!
I can see why Zammit was let go by Parr with some of the poor recruitment before the latter arrived here.Seriously we probably have the worst recruitment, the decisions are mind boggling.
he's on way to much money isnt he? 500K a year ? average at best same with Hetho. bad recruitmentElliot has only just come back.. seems premature. Hetherington.. don't think we would be too choked up
please let it be soAlso says some clubs have already been made aware that Elliott & Hetherington could both be available.
Cowboys, Payten has already said they meet with him inbetween the Tigers and Eels games when we stayed down there the whole week.Last I heard about Alamoti is that there is already a club interested and in talks......could that be us? Are we clever enough to pull off something like that ?
His running game is superb. In 3 games he's played since returning from injury he's scored a 60m solo try and had multiple line breaks leading to tries. His delivery is great being a 5/8 as well, crisp long balls. However he is the epitome of a utility. played 5/8, 7 and 13 in juniors. But that happens in juniors. 9 seems to be his maker though. He'll get a debut at home soon, maybe against roosters to freshen th side up as it was very high intensity game and Crossy was absolutely spent by fulltime. When he is picked, either Crossy or Mann are dropped, as we cant have two utilities on the bench.I haven't seen Riley Jones play but does anyone know what style of hooker he is whether he is like Jayden Brailey a pass first hooker and strong on defence. Or more the Harry Grant type where he is fast and has that game breaker ability.
Happy with this but it's pretty astounding that the screens would be government funded. There are a zillion other things taxpayer funds should be spent on.SPOTTED
Newcastle already has one of the NRL’s best home grounds – and it’s about to get a whole lot better. The state government is funding the installation of two giant high-definition screens at either end of McDonald Jones Stadium. They are six metres wider than the old screens and will be ready for the start of next season.
I totally agree as the budgetary constraints on NSW government are well known.Happy with this but it's pretty astounding that the screens would be government funded. There are a zillion other things taxpayer funds should be spent on.
Compared to other grounds though, our screens are pretty poor. From memory we got the second hand ones from the old Parra stadium when they tore it down.I totally agree as the budgetary constraints on NSW government are well known.
Not to mention one of them is busted. It's pretty poor really.Compared to other grounds though, our screens are pretty poor. From memory we got the second hand ones from the old Parra stadium when they tore it down.
Long due for an upgrade, and as a NSW gov owned asset, the onus is on them to keep investing in it.
