2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

Don’t need backs. We need forwards.
We need forwards more than backs for sure but unless someone in the system really puts their hand up in a big way this year, we’re going into 2024 missing a guy who’s hugely important to our attacking and yardage games.

given the situation around hooker and our forwards atm.. is it time to try and get something for dom young? i thought young was really good yesturday for what its worth.

Need to be smart with recruitment next year. Recruitment has been pretty strong last couple years in regards to quality. It we also need to have the growth in juniors coming through and not hold them back. Likes of Sorensen is a smart pick up, just add the depth then have bench spots available to Keeley/Cant and whoever else shines thru.

Interested in how James Harris and McEwen progress.

I think likes of Jones, Johns are done, opening spots for the lads mentioned above to be regular benchies.

Same goes with Enari (as much as I’ve appreciated his service past few years) Lucas and Maps and Ferguson are the future.

Momo might be smart, but only to hold fir injuries.

So Crighton possibly back in 6 weeks, 2 more weeks after that and he'd firing, Do knights go for Egan Butcher again for early trade with Dom?

Just read they're trying to get KPP early now. Much better idea. Hopefully it happens. Wigan playing poorly fort two games

Looking at Manly's CUP team they have Sipley, Ben Condon and Morgan Boyle as back up fwds. Surely they can loan us one for a few weeks. I Know Boyle coming off an injury, but he is good quality none the less. Havent looked at QCUP squads yet. Dobson might be getting his feelers out there too.

What ever we do, it needs to be a quick fix, but you dont want to block a junior coming through like Jenkins or Burgess. It's why a loan would be perfect, just for the year.
