2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

He hurt his shoulder when he hit the ground. It wasn't some secret body language pointing to him leaving lmao.

Edit: Realized you're probably talking about his actual try that was counted, my bad.
Yeah was talking about actual try and could mean absolute nothing . But just my gut feeling.

Gus Gould is in Newcastle! Wonder why? He was at a cafe this morning with other Canterbury management interesting timing seeing tho dom young is making a decision this weekend

I have been watching the cricket and did not see the game. But I never thought of there would be talk on here about re-signing Sione.

How weird that 26 year old Sione and 25 year old Zac Hosking both had good games.
Thinking about it, their journey to get there couldn't have been more different.
Sione started at the Knights at 14 and was rushed through the grades to make his firstgrade debut at 18. Zac Hosking didn't even get a game at the Knights till he was 19 and given a chance to tryout for Flegg, where he probably only got a run because of his work ethic, because he was a middle forward who weighed under 90kg and was built like a greyhound.
Zac somehow got a firstgrade pre-season the year Sione was being groomed to play captain, probably only because he trained like a maniac.
Sione was earning millions and putting together an impressive career, while Zac was getting a trade, working fulltime and playing reserve grade for a pie and coke.

Crazy to think he’s still only 26! Played great last night I gotta say.

And there is the Knights system that needs changing before we progress up the ladder.
We don’t train hard enough or professionally and there are still good players going to other clubs and making their mark.
Part physical fitness, part showing “the love” to ALL players and totally better man management.

Good on him for not dragging it out, it'll be great to have it sorted before the season starts, rather than months of speculation and distractions from what's happening on-field.

Not referring to anyone in particular!
What if he leaves? I gotta say I’ll have a higher opinion of KP than of Dom if that happens 😂
