The "Mark My Words" Thread

My predictions for the knights is to just scape into the 8 beating west tigers for the 8th spot I think Bradman will have a break out year play all games winning dally m centre of the year think dom young to stay around for another 3 years we get kpp mid season as Wigan struggle early for NRL predictions I think Melbourne win the comp from outside the top 4 playing the roosters in the grand final Ryan papinhuzen wins Clive Churchill medal Qld wins origin again and Titian's win the spoon

I’m going to be on the optimist side.

We get 6th. Go on to the second week of finals and get knocked out.

D-saf and J-saf both play origin.
Brailey has a solid injury free year.
Dom Young resigns and is one of the leading try scorers and up there for kick return meters.
Bradman Best stays on the field most of the year and has a big year.
Ponga plays six, is up there in try assists. Still plays F/B for qld.
NSW to win origin. (Easy one)

Dylan Lucas to move to second row and make firstgrade by mid season

Pheonix to rise from the ashes of his career and play most games

Chris Vea'ila to put injury behind him and quickly make firstgrade

Marzhew and Best to form a great combination with Ponga and teams having to load the defence against them.

A very pro-Knights prediction list:
- Ponga's 5/8 experiment to work this time.
- Jack Johns to finally kick on and become a handy ball-playing back row and secure our left-side second-row jersey.
- Finally form a potent left edge with Johns, Best and Marzhew to be a strike force.
- Mat Croker and D Saf to be our run on props by season end with J Saf to utilise his impact with Hetherington on the bench

- If don’t lose him through a trade I can see this being a vintage season for frizzell

- John Toleafoa will get first grade minutes this year

- if we don’t get miller I think Dane gagai will do more than just plug a hole.

- Ponga will struggle to start but we keep at it and become seemless

- Hastings to have most 40/20s in the comp

Alright time for some new predictions

- Tigers to be the surprise package of the year, finishing in 7th but spending an extensive time in the top 4.
- Penrith to fall from the top of the pile to 4th or 5th but recouperate in the finals to win 3 in a row
- James Tedesco to get injured in the leadup to Origin 1, forcing Fittler to blood Ryan Papenhuyzen who plays games 1 & 2 before a MoM performance by Teddy in game 3 brings the shield back to NSW.
- Shaun Johnson to be forced into retirement after suffering a season ending injury
- Reece Walsh to flop at the Broncos

- Tigers to be the surprise package of the year, finishing in 7th but spending an extensive time in the top 4.

Whilst Luke Brookes is there they will stink up the place. Daine Laurie is NSW cup level as well.

1. Daine Laurie.
6. Adam Douhie?
7. Luke Brookes.
9. Api Korousio.

Hardly fills me with fear, bog average backline as well.

Another QLD win then I'm afraid.
The two sides are closer than previous years. Although NSW always seem to have the stronger side on paper. We really missed Latrell and Turbo. It will be a close series, but I have faith in Freddy. He’s the best man for the job. He would have learned from the last loss.

Knights to miss the 8 again
Penrith to finish 5 (API is a huge loss)
Storm to finish 6th (lost a lot of experience in their pack and pap out)
Roosters finish 1st
Sharks, cows and rabits round out top 4
Dolphins spoon by a mile (worst season since 2015 knights)
Tigers, knights, dragons battle for 8th place

Jackson Hastings will have an excellent season for the Knights, he will take control the team on the field, play with passion and tear into players who are making mistakes or a not trying to play well. Wests Tigers management will privately concede they faxed up by letting him leave.

Kalyn Ponga will become a widely feared playmaker, regularly setting up tries for the Knights and forming a strong combination with Hastings.

The addition of Hasting, Elliot, Hetherington and Gamble will add much needed resilience and spirit to the Knights and the years of the Knights not being competitive will end.
