My worry is that this playing group might be shot already. I have always sit in the camp of we have a decent team when everyone is on the park. Ponga is a star at his best, Gagai, Dan Saifiti, Klemmer, Frizell are all fairly high level rep players, Brailey, Jacob Saifiti, Barnett are players I feel most teams would be happy to have, then we've got Clifford, Best, Young as emerging talents.
This constant losing can't be good for the confidence though. There's still enough time to turn it around, but if we end up finishing the year in the bottom 4, with far more losses than wins, then where do we go next? Memory is a hard thing to erase, the fact that all this losing happened, means the players know it can happen too, which means they can fall into that mindset again. This would be in contrast to the likes of the Storm and Panthers, who just know how to turn up every week, they aren't used to the feeling of losing because they haven't been in that hole before. This group is different to the Browny wooden spoon era, but they seem to be starting to regress back to that level which is a massive problem for the future prospects with these players.
