NZ WARRIORS V NEWCASTLE KNIGHTS - SAT 28TH 3.00PM, Redcliffe Qld

If we don't win today and don't know why but I have my doughts, our front office needs

a complete cleanup so we all find out who's bring these left overs to town....our recruitment

is tragic ...........................................3:00 PM • Moreton Daily Stadium, Redcliffe.

I’m looking forward to todays game and think it’s the strongest spine we have named so far this season. I expect us to win this game. It’s always nice winning against former players or coaches.

Milford will be better for the run last week and the others will benefit from being a little more familiar with his playing style.

I really hope Clifford has a cracker for his own sake, it’s never easy to deal with any personal issues let alone with any speculation from the media/public.

Im looking forward to the Milford , Clifford combo today and imo if the team plays to the standard the should we will win this easy . I don't agree with the calls to change the roster, when we have our top side on the field imo we have a very talented team ....
They just need to play well , the first 3 rounds they played bloody good footy after that not so much .
IF Milf and Clifford both play well and combine well we COULD be in for a treat for the rest of the season. I'm hoping so anyway, they have the talent .

My worry is that this playing group might be shot already. I have always sit in the camp of we have a decent team when everyone is on the park. Ponga is a star at his best, Gagai, Dan Saifiti, Klemmer, Frizell are all fairly high level rep players, Brailey, Jacob Saifiti, Barnett are players I feel most teams would be happy to have, then we've got Clifford, Best, Young as emerging talents.

This constant losing can't be good for the confidence though. There's still enough time to turn it around, but if we end up finishing the year in the bottom 4, with far more losses than wins, then where do we go next? Memory is a hard thing to erase, the fact that all this losing happened, means the players know it can happen too, which means they can fall into that mindset again. This would be in contrast to the likes of the Storm and Panthers, who just know how to turn up every week, they aren't used to the feeling of losing because they haven't been in that hole before. This group is different to the Browny wooden spoon era, but they seem to be starting to regress back to that level which is a massive problem for the future prospects with these players.

These guys need to put on a 40+ point game If they are to turn a corner to come out of this rut.

If they don't, everything you just said will come to fruition and It will just be another 5+ years of mediocrity.

This Is the game to do It, however I can't see It happening.

Leo Thompson reverts to 18th man with Sasagi taking the final spot on the bench in the only change for us.

Dunamis Lui takes Katoas spot on the bench for them.

As much as it's harsh on Leo I actually don't mind that change, we needed someone to cover the outside backs because Barnett doing so simply wasn't feasible. Plenty of minutes in our current middles and Sasagi can do a stint at lock as well.

Randall can play 80 and crossland can cover the backs if required.
Dont’t see why Leo would be dropped.

Barney did well but no urgency to try and help him at all they just throw their hands in the air.. this clubs got massive issues.
