He’s been covering the Knights and getting inside info a lot longer than his son has been working at the club. Just have to listen to his podcast to hear the regard that the ex-players from back in the 80s and 90s hold him.

He mentioned he actually went in with one of them to be their manager during ARL-Superleague negotiations!
 
He also mentions in this week's one that Brian Smith never spoke to him again after he wrote an article criticising the Kirk Reynoldson situation lol.

The ‘when fit’ part is why. Never on the park and to win a comp signing injury prone players isn’t what you want when building cohesion throughout the year.

Fair enough....so we should let Best go also as he is injury prone and injured more than he spends time on the park.

My guess would be that he’d be asking for a rise and they probably figured that Toa would be going better...

Bradman is still growing and also has the potential to be one of the best outside backs in the comp. Eddie is a journeyman, Aldi Daniel Tupou. You take more risks for players who are more worth them.
 
Id be happy with best at $400k and lee at $300k. If Lee feels he needs 600k id be looking elsewhere. He is fine, but plenty of wingers around. I don't see him as in the same class as Coates, jac, etc.
 
Watching Penrith today, aren’t they great to watch, just playing what’s in front of them and competing.

I just laugh at how we look like we’ve never played together, it’s an absolute rabble.

Look who Melbourne had out against Raiders.. Pap, Munster, Hughes, Grant. That’s proof of how much of a mess we are.
