Jake Clifford

Fair enough....so we should let Best go also as he is injury prone and injured more than he spends time on the park.
We already signed him until 2023 if I recall correctly. Fair example though, I just reckon it gets dangerous when you sign multiple players in that injury prone category.

We have to go back to old school eyes up, throw the ball around footy. Structure isn't a thing anymore. As for cliff, well the merry is going around. Lodge yuck. Enough said.

Exactly. We aren’t the storm, we aren’t the roosters. Play some damn footy.

Structure is definitely still a thing. The better teams just get into their structures quicker and have a better understanding with their team mates.

Cowboys sign Hiku. For anyone doubting Rudi the poster from the Cowboys site he said we would sign Hiku before the season started and there has been no articles by any journo on rumoured to sign him.

Solid signing, he’s deceptively good. Where has he been hiding?

Think he is out for the year with injury... Guess he adds experience to the outside backs as I doubt O’Neill will be around next season.

But that post was merely to show that Rudi isn’t some hit and hope like the mole as some may think.

Nah I can recall you mentioning a few things now.

With Jake arriving next week it seems...

Where does Mann play? In the halves and Crossland dropped? Mitch is due back round 14 so you would assume Mann then goes to centre?

Hunt and Lee are both week to week injuries with no dates set...

Same guy who said several rounds ago that Clifford would be here by now? I’d take Toohey’s word for
Worst thing you can say about Lolo is that the new rules are making lock forward a bit more of a distinct position again than it has been for a while, rather than just a position you put a third prop or a tacklebot back rower in. If the Cowboys had a lock in the Radley or Murray mold and moved Lolo to prop he’d be one of the best props in the comp, still one of the best forwards going round even after all these years of redlining. He’s still a big bastard who’s uncommonly fast and nimble for his size, and he’s still insanely consistent with his effort and work rate and I don’t think these things have gone out of fashion just yet. Yeah I’d say he’s doing fine too.
I had to laugh the other day I think it was NRL 360 saying he wasn’t worth what he’s getting paid. I’d take him all day every day in aheartbet

Mann is a good squad member at the right price.
We are currently asking him to be our main playmaker - a role traditionally filled by someone getting a million a year - and he isn't up to it - but for about 300k or so, he is a guy who will do an adequate job in many different roles, from hooker to fullback.
His main competition is Tex Hoy, a very similar style of player who is much younger and potentially better, but with about 100 firstgrade games less experience.
Couldn’t agree more. He’s rolled out every week as our savior. He’s a team man but not the man never will be

Our whole aim should be to have a team fit and well that we CANT find a spot in the 17 for Mann. Until Pearce is back it’s Crossland 7 and Clifford 6 then Pearce is 7 and Crossland is reserves all being fit.
