Do you think that Tolar and Ciraldo should be named for next week? If not who would you replace them with? and do u think rogers should be the man to give matty "the rock" hilder a rest?

I agree. For me Ciraldo should be dropped and i would like to see southern get his chance. And as for Tolar he hasnt done much wrong but he just seems to slow for first grade. I would bring in Joel Edwards for him. As for Rogers hopefully Maddog is back this week and Naiqama can move to the bench.

yea i agree with tolar being "ok" he tends to stand and prop when he gets to the defence, maybe he is trying to get a quick play the ball? but u have to punch through the line first I think and he is slow, reminds me of matty parsons in his later years gaining 10 then propping and getting pushed back 5, and how good was wes! people were bagging him in the online herald comments and he stood up and made them shut their mouths!

and if anyone knows how kyle odonnell's form is let me know cause i wouldnt mind seeing him, i dont see a reason why he cant be a great debutant like henry.

I would hope Ciraldo isn't there, he clearly isn't up to FG standard. Tolar I think should be there, he has been rolling foward nicely but he still makes stupid errors in crucial stages. Our fowards this year have been very disciplined. Rogers I really don't know, it was handy to know he was there to cover when Mullo went off busted.

Do people expect our forwards to hold the ball on every occasion?

Many of you have high expectations.

Tolar is no star by any means, but he will still try his best. He racked up 100+ metres last night and should now be dropped for dropping a few balls.

Gidley dropped a couple last week too, can he be dropped?

It seems the unpopular players in the side get constantly targetted.

And what's worse is we won the actual game. Maybe make these threads after a loss or something.

freedom of speech alicia, no need to be a keyboard warrior, dont forget tolar and ciraldo fell asleep and let a try in from dummy half, they teach u that stuff in under 10s, thats a coach killer

I'm really not liking this whole Tolar hate :fist:

You only have to look at his stats to know that hes a solid player in our side.

Freedom of speech is fine. A keyboard warrior? No need to get fiesty.

Hilder or Houston (whoever it was) missed a tackle last week that lead to that pretty poor try against Penrith. We could have kept them to nil.

Do we drop them because of that too?

Yes, they were terrible attempts to tackle Jones, but did it effect us in the end? No, and I'm sure if they aren't dropped because of it they may be better for it next week.

I'm not in support of Ciraldo at all, I don't rate him. But Tolar is different, he can give you really small late footwork at the line and be effective. He might throw the odd silly pass but who doesn't, that's football.

Instead of focusing on the negatives all the time, would be good to look into what we did right.

IMO Ciraldo needs to get some more games under his belt maybe drop him for a few games and see how he goes in lower grades . As for Tolar last night against the cowboys he made the most meters and I thought he was pretty good , I would keep him in the side , maybe it is time to bring Con Mika up to first grade and run him off the bench .

would luv to see mika back with edwards, i do think tolar is solid alicia, just not consistant enough he has his great moments i just dont think he has enough, and as far as letting the dummy half try in and it not effecting us in the end, we have fell asleep too much when we get a lead and it cost us last year, its not ok too say hey were in front by 18 they dont have enought time to beat us, its ok to be lazy, bennett, sheens and bellamy would absolutely grill a player even if the team won comfortably, maybe its soft coaching by stone, but them lil things are why they are succesfull teams, Consistantly.

Ciraldo was sub par last night, he didn't really offer anything in attack and had no starch in his defence. Tolar was great last night and wanting to drop him on the back of that performance is a bit harsh. He has impressed me so far this season and if he can string together a few more games like that, we'll be in good stead for the rest of the year. His only criticism is he can get a bit lazy in defence but so do most props in the comp.

I'd have Taufua back in the team before Mika and Edwards on the bench instead of a utility player. How good is it to be 2 from 2!

Up the Knights!

I thought Taufua was still injuried . I'm not 100% sure on that I could be wrong

I just check Taufua is injured he will be back earliest round 4

Ciraldo was very quiet last night. Didn't do a whole lot. Was pretty much a non factor out there. On a positive note I can't say he did anything wrong, but at the same time I can't say he provided anything of any substance for us last night. If Stone thought he was the man for the job heading into this weeks game, I'm not sure much is going to change heading into next weeks game. I think he'll be named in the 17 again against Manly.

Tolar I thought played well last night and I thought he was decent round 1 against the Panthers too. Doesn't provide much, if any impact at all when he comes onto the field, but he's as solid as he is unspectacular, and that's saying something. Definately don't think he deserves to be dropped and I'm against making changes just for the sake of making changes.

Rogers I thought was serviceable last night. If nothing changes, I'd stick with him again next week in the number 14 jumper.

Tolar had one of his more better games last night, don't understand the sudden attention to his place in the starting side.

He's no superstar by any means, and he's not going to win you games off his own back, but the one thing he has going is he's consistent at his level.
If he falls back into his old ways not really doing much at all though, I would blood some younger guys in.

On Rogers: I thought he was solid in the game. Besides that 50/50 pass that Ciraldo had a chance of taking, he didn't do anything brainsnapping/bizarre.
He's just a scapegoat for the team supporters. Fans tend to rely on a player to bag the crap out of for no reason if we win/lose.

But yeah, in terms of actually getting a spot in the side:
I'm happy for him to be a sub and injury cover atm, cause honestly theres regulars in front of him who are just simply better. But to his credit, he is strong defensively, which is a key element for the Knights, and he has experience in FG. But yeah, as soon as De Gois is back, he'll be back playing for the centurions unless there's an injury imo.

I thought you wanted him dropped?

I don't think we really need much shuffling, maybe a little but i'd stick to this until Taufua, Costigan & De Gois come back:

8. Kaufusi
9. Hilder
10. Tuimavave
11. Taia
12. Paterson
13. Houston

14. Naiqama
15. Southern
16. Fa'aoso
17. Tolar

Ciraldo after that performance deserves to be dropped, if he does get dropped it'll make him realise he's gotta play better if he wants to get a run in FG, may make him step up his game in the lower grades hopefully.

Ciraldo will fit in fine at the Sharks heh
Though as long as these replacement guys do the best they can I dont think theres much more we can ask of them.

I don't mind if we give him another chance, Stone can't have been imagining his good form in the trials.

Nah changed my mind, Manly's pack fired today and we will need all the experience we can get.

bahaha luv it!

id love to see big red get faster but dont think its gunna happen, he might have made 100 plus metres but travelling at 2km an hr!

u cant change a winning team tho but i luv we have options, maybe bennett will have some ideas!?

We need to remember that if Tolar plays Edwards misses out & I know who i would have in my team
