I could probably think of another 5-10 who are ahead of him ATM.

Are all well ahead him, his work rate is bog average, what he does, he does well and potentially he can get to a top 10 prop but there is no way he is ever going to be as good as any of the top 5.

Tapine as well, but we can blame Clint Newton on that one.
I sincerely hope the club doesn't go above $600k and potentially that is a $150k over.

It was the right thing to get rid of Barnett at the time, but FML it's a hard watch the fact he was in the top 5 props of the game this year.

It’s weird to put all the blame at his door, as far as I can tell he and his agent have been pretty transparent about his intentions, and very little has actually even happened. The notion that such a thing as a “Leo Thompson contract saga” even exists is totally the result of a yellow press who’s filling column inches with sensationalist gossip whether or not anything has even happened.

Make a decision FFS. Not saying it’s his fault but sick of hearing about it! Latest report is the Bullfrogs are in the box seat. I just hope the knights stick by their guns & have offered him what his worth. If other clubs want to offer him overs, let them. You have been here before Knights, don’t make the same mistakes you’ve done in the past!

Best thing to do is avoid NRL news. Nothing Knights or Leo can do about the media reporting. It's only been about 5 weeks since 01 November anyway, with Leo's holiday in between. It's a big decision for both sides so I'm fine with them taking their time on it.

Exactly, hardly worth getting worked up about. Still a year until his contract ends so no need to rush it!

Don’t see the point in slagging him off either. Personally I love what he brings to the team. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My post wasn't slagging him off if that is at me, just saying his a great prospect but his well down the list of top front rowers presently and we shouldn't pay overs even if it means we grab a stop gap prop for a year whilst waiting for Hopgood and Sau to be ready for first grade.
 
Well Tui is off contract now and the Storm aren’t trying to re-sign him, in fact their big signing for next season is a prop they want to play in his place. He also got taken out of the starting lineup until big Nelson got suspended and Bellyache was forced to put him back in the starting side for the grand final. So you tell me mate. 😆

Not at you, plenty saying it in this thread.

Cap has to be spent somewhere. Better that it’s on a player with plenty of interest that we have a chance of keeping than another splurge on someone nobody else wants, just to make sure we spend enough.

I didn’t slag him off. As you will see from my comment , I don’t blame him but I don’t know why it’s so drawn out. I hate this transfer system, where a player can transfer to another side, 1 year in advance. To my way of thinking, it must effect the up coming year, in some shape or form!
