Danny 'Bedsy' Buderus
I heard Melbourne apparently have refused the clauses that pezet wanted in his contract around Hughes. Be interesting to see if he joins us now
Would have to be in the box seat.

How could that happen?Really?
Im pretty sure he was joking mate. How could that happen?
Cogger signed a 3 year contract to come to the Knights last season.
Oh sorry, I forgot, an NRL contract isn’t worth the paper it is written on!
OK, so he is going back to Penrith then?
If it's from the same article I read on FB, it's fake.Just reading Cogger is joining Penrith for 2025 season.
It didn’t make any sense.Yeah it's fake.
But it's about as real as most of the NRL reporting on contracts
Makes plenty of sense, Cogger wont be playing FG next season lolIt didn’t make any sense.
Unless Pezet signs and gets released for 25, Cogger will play plenty.Makes plenty of sense, Cogger wont be playing FG next season lol
Extraordinarily unlikely that he is held captive at the Storm. Nearly impossible given the circumstances. The Storm would need to be willing to withstand more drama than it is worth, and for a smart club like the Storm that's an unlikely pictureUnless Pezet signs and gets released for 25, Cogger will play plenty.
Really good to see him take ownership like that, great sign.Knights recruit has 'no bad blood' with ex-coach after NRL exile
The 23-year-old was dumped to reserve grade after signing elsewhere.www.newcastleherald.com.au
Refreshingly honest article that quotes Schiller as saying he deserved to be dropped to reserve grade for missing about 10 tackles and he needs to work hard this pre-season to fix his defence.
Its true and then the players who came in played pretty good.Knights recruit has 'no bad blood' with ex-coach after NRL exile

On the flip side it sets a precedent that Storm let players go before their contract is up. Very unlikely.Extraordinarily unlikely that he is held captive at the Storm. Yeah I'd love to see him here next year but doubt Storm lets him go early (assuming it's us that he signs with). On the flip side it sets a precedent that Storm let players go before their contract is up. Very unlikely.
Storm unlikely would let him go but TBH, hes coming off an ACL will miss a fair chunk of the start of the season and then getting back up to speed. Do we really need that in our roster next year? 2026 hell yeah keen as a bean.Yeah I'd love to see him here next year but doubt Storm lets him go early (assuming it's us that he signs with).
He's excellent depth and gives them coverage when Munster or Hughes is out for injury/rep games. Storm have been close to premiership success the past few years. Jonah might also want to stay for one last roll of the dice there at a premiership.
If Leo signs elsewhere, I really doubt Knights let him go early either (as a flipped example)
The Storm will have RLPA, The NRL, the players family, the media and their own community to deal with if they want to prevent a 21 year old 4th string half from beginning an inevitable start as a senior player on greater than a **** weak minimum wage. Im telling you, there's almost no chance they even attempt to hold him.On the flip side it sets a precedent that Storm let players go before their contract is up. Very unlikely.
I genuinely hope you are right but I don’t think they will let him go early. The RPLA and the NRL aren’t going to care - he is under contract so for them to get involved would also set a dangerous precedent. The Storm will have RLPA, The NRL, the players family, the media and their own community to deal with if they want to prevent a 21 year old 4th string half from beginning an inevitable start as a senior player on greater than a **** weak minimum wage. They'll pretend for a moment to perform the usual theatrics. And then he'll be with us within a couple weeks of signing
