2024 - 2025 Summer of Cricket

Don’t count your chickens. They’re weirdly good at bouncing back from calamities like that. But that’s still pretty cool though, congrats.

Of course, I was just saying to a mate it reminds me of this game ... pretty even first innings, India 15/5 in the second and damn Harbhajan Singh of all people scores a match-saving ton lol.

No doubt the Indians will be hoping for rain. They are on the ropes but it’s not over yet.
The pitch is very spicy for spinners already - NZ were bowling when it was doing a bit for the seamers yesterday, but by the close of play it already seemed to have transformed. Could definitely see NZ losing their remaining wickets very quickly, and then India build a lead that will be very difficult to chase in the fourth innings. Still a long way to go!

Unless it rains, India will need to bat for nearly 2 days to save the test match after the Kiwis notched up a lead of 356 on the first innings.

8 wicket win for NZ! Just India's fifth loss at home since 2013, and the first time a side other than Australia or England has beaten them at home since 2010.

Very surprised NZ have managed it, especially with Williamson injured ... I was expecting a total pummelling. Spearheaded by two young players in Rachin Ravindra and Will O'Rourke. Just shows that there is new talent coming through if our coach decides to use it.

Exceptional win by the Kiwis.

India will be stung by the defeat and will come back hard in the next test.
