You would think England
with a population of about 56,489,800 people (according to their 2021 census) would be able regularly beat Australia
with less than half of it’s population at 25,422,788 (according to our 2021 census) but obviously not.
No wonder England has a long history of allowing Welshmen, Scotsmen, Irishman ( until recently), South Africans, Zimbabweans, Indians, West Indians and Kiwis to play for them to try to strengthen their team. And they still lose more test matches than they win against Australia.
Luckily England
has plenty of experience losing at football to draw on when comes coping with losing at cricket.
