You didn’t even get the seat warm on Clifford’s bandwagon you jumped off that quickly.

Get a decent coach and Clifford is easily a better player then any half at the Knights/Tigers.

We lose Young I am done with the Knights. That simple.
 
Crossland has had a good year for development despite getting the usual Knights runaround.
I think it's a bad move by him.
He could get more money and an organisation that would develop him properly, but every year he takes minimum wage and being used everywhere from hooker to lock.
In short - he could do better. It's not him, it's us.

Explain how you can possibly think this.

The rest is irrelevant, he just said himself if another club had a more permanent role for him he'd likely have to take it. It didn't happen.

Yep.
With a decent coach a lot of players would be better.
Players like Sasagai, Crossland, Tuala and even Mann would have benefited from training and playing in the one position all year. Or be dropped to cup and still be playing in that one position.

And a good coach would have either dropped Gagai or moved him to a wing.

Not by me mate.

He’s been our best player this year, but I have always maintained he’s just not worth the $800K and nothing has changed my mind on that.

I’ve said repeatedly that whatever opinions people might have about KP as a player and a bloke, the Klemmer and Frizell contracts are worse.

If we could have dumped Klemmer and replaced him with Alex Twal or Blake Lawrie (ie middling forwards on meh salaries), and dump Frizell and replace him with Luke Garner or Tyrell Fuimaono, and then used the difference in salaries to sign Adam Reynolds or Chad Townsend, we’d be better off.

If we dumped KP to replace him with Dane Laurie, and used the difference to bring in another Klemmer/Frizell tier of forward eg Ryan Catterson, we’d be way, way worse off.

Money has been spent in the wrong places.
