I don’t know what the evidence is for KP being the biggest earner in the NRL right now besides some Buzz Rothfield hit piece about the impact of a ratchet clause.

So we’re believing that of all the agents and player managers in the NRL, only KP’s dad, who from what I’ve seen struggles to speak in full sentences, had the wherewithal to suggest a clause like that?

It doesn’t impact DCE’s salary, when he’s notoriously been on a deal which has always been calculated as a % of the cap for about 8 years?

the "just pay him" attitude is what lead to our woes from the bennett years through the brown years. we should be appluading the club for saying we think your worth X amount its the best we can do.

Those are the numbers I’ve heard elsewhere and they come to $1.95 million, which would seem to line up with what Toohey is saying here.

Well the gamble to pay Ponga crazy money to stay here in the hope that it would encourage better players to sign with us looks like it has backfired. So it appears half the team are taking up the majority of the cap and they aren't all in key positions. We really are a basket case

I hope that is true.
I'm happier if we tried to keep him and he made a career decision to go, than if we just didn't make him a decent offer.

So disappointing to see Dom go he was a natural athlete and physical specimen he was developing into a handy winger he still has a bit of work to do but was coming along nicely.

Also seemed like a good kid spoke well and seemed respectful i really liked him not only as a player but a person.

I hope the rorters get done for breaking the sombrero next year.

That was the rumour...and the Roosters came in and blew us out of the water.

They've paid overs for him. Knights aren't in a position to keep doing that and i'm glad we didn't get into a bidding war for him.
