Not sure why people are worried Ponga. He is still contracted for another two seasons which is more then enough time to develop a rapport with the new coach.

Contracts can be such fickle things though, there is always a way out of them. Ponga is a legit premiership winning kind of player, why would he want to waste the prime of his career at a club that has no interest in playing finals football, let alone pushing for a premiership? It would be such a waste for him to be watching finals football from the grandstands season after season.

On a positive note, Best will see the year out in NRL. He was great in a tough game. I think Toa might get a run next week too by the sounds of Browny's presser

Yes, but in the context of constantly being targetted by the backrowers that is to be expected. Tigers came with a plan and executed it well.

I feel sorry for Sione in attack, he was actually quite good tonight. The first offload to SKD was definitely on. Had some good runs, got around his man. Offload in the second half was just dumb though. Many poor decisions between him and Lino in defence though, and a lack of shifting defence.

We probably do better and look more like scoring with Ramien in those situations no doubt. But it's funny how the team was able to come up with those really nice passages of play on the right hand side after Ramien is gone.

Knowing Brown it won't be but that should be Sione's last game ever in the centres in first grade.

I just remember stuff like DCE backing out of his titans contract and manly saying they would take care of Des hasler after he won them the premiership in 2011, only for him to resign shortly after. Contracts arent worth the paper they're printed on and Ponga deserves his chance to play finals football if this joke of a club isnt prepared to make any effort.

Yeah, speaks volumes, sulking about a coach (who has done next to f**k all in 4 years) is more important to the team than playing in the finals, like what the hell? If anything, if you're upset about the coach leaving, it should motivate you to make the semis and cause some damage to silence all the people talking s**t about your coach.

Basically our 1-7 haven’t played consistently all season, sure KP has had his moments, but Our left side has not been good since Hunt moved from centre, Moga has been a disappointment, injuries aside his play/positioning has been ordinary, Ramien was disappointing with replacements being up and down, we lacked quality backup, SKD, what do you say, whole hearted performer who has slowed a bit, put him in the clear he is good, jump for the ball is good but has not got the zip that a winger requires, 6 what can you say, tried a few Lino seems best but his kicking keeps him on top of others, tries hard but lacks something, how old is he, late bloomer? Or not quite the man. Pearce, seems to lack composure, everything must happen now but sometime those around him seem lost, is he trying to hard or those around him don’t understand. Compare him to Cronk who plays at a different pace but everything seems to work with less errors.
Not enough analising and training to form combinations, lacking smart/clever plays like Cronk but he does have a good 6.

That would be preferable, I'm all for Ponga doing an O Davis and scoring two tries in a grand final winning performance but my point is, he has too much potential and talent to **** his career away at a club that doesnt care, he's too young to carry the weight of a team, even when Joey started he had so many amazing, experienced players around him it gave him so much time to develop his game and build confidence so that, later in his career when he did carry the weight of the club on his shoulders he was more than ready for it.
