Roberts & Mullen obviously need a bit of gametime together till they start going any good but i am starting to think we need someone else. 2 running halves don't usually go well in an NRL team.

Roberts is NSW Cup standard. The time has come for Bennett to get rid of Costigan. It is no longer disappointing that Costigan isn't firing. He quite clearly has got nothing. Evarn good bloke but not even first grade at Parramatta standard. As long as they stand and wait for the attack to come to them instead of moving up and hammering someone we'll continue to get our back door kicked in.

This^ .. Boyd cops so much yet costigan flies under radar apart from some of us that have been saying it for ages, he is a massive waste of cash, we don't need him, sell off and buy a front rower.

What a **** season.

The only game I have enjoyed is the Bulldogs game and to a lesser extent, Sharks. The rest have been below standard of Knights performance or a loss.

10 games in and we don't look like improving. I'm glad I didn't renew my membership with these turds, but rather enjoy doing something else/or work and then watch a replay. I'm not even gonna bother watching a replay on this game. It's such a gun side on papar, but just fail is all I can think of. No wonder Bennett is desperate in buying Mason, Scott and a flurry of new guys for this season. Stone really did well during his time.

Fair comment about 2 running halves except we don't have 2 running halves. Roberts ran 9 m. Add that to his 4 missed tackles and you get a forgettable performance. On another subject what's the go with the NRL stats ? Changed dramatically from what was originally shown and don't mention Adams.

No Afro you are not the only one who thinks our forwards, with few exceptions, fold pretty easy. Thought Adams had a good introduction ~ at least none of Hilder's once a game forward passes. Maybe the protective gear is covering his eyes?

We seem to be in Ground Hog year. Another game with no points in the second half. Carry over from last year? And sorry James but Zebby got back to his old style crabbing. He was in great form until injured last year and out for nearly all the season. Just cannot seem to put it back together sadly. We need him in 2010 form when he made the NZ side.

Thank god the Eels and Panthers are in the comp because we'd be spoon specailists for sure!

We've only beaten the Eels, Panthers, Sharkies (but they shouldn't smashed us if they hung on to the ball) and the Bulldogs who lost their halfback early !

If we keep dishing up the same thing each week we are a bottom 4 team guaranteed!!

What happened to the superior fitness that was talked about before round one ? Last 2 games inn the match until half time and can't find the line. Apart from no pace in the centers what's wrong with our attack ? Backrowers that couldn't bust a pimple maybe ? Come to think of it when was the last Bennett coached team to excel in attack ? Why do we refuse to move up in defence for large parts of the game ? Why are people happy to bag some players yet others like Roberts who are just not up to first grade never get mentioned ? Finally I was one who bagged Stone. I would like to apologize to him. Obviously done well with the lack of talent he had at his disposal and seemed keener to give a young bloke a crack.

Who do you play at half instead of Roberts then?

Roberts seems to not be playing his natural game IMO, mullen isnt playing well either... Problem is we dont have any more halves so we just have to wait until next year, get rid of some soft players and i dont want to say it but sign greg bird we need mongrel

Another ?. How many clean breaks (I mean bust tackles and gallop in to clear) has our back row made between them this season ? I would move Tahu into the back row and put Likki Likki into the centers. I watch other games and I see barnstorming backrowers busting the opposition wide open yet when I watch us I see a knitting club meeting.

He certainly isn't an organizing halve though. On the 9m thing, Wayne has probably told him to concentrate on organizing rather than running. But even then you could see he could have almost broken the line a few times with a big dummy or step. Anyway as Roberts is a young guy, we probably have Mullo doing a fair bit or organizing too which isn't great. Do we have a good organizing halfback in the club?

Yeah it is painful when we get one on one we get cleaned up nearly everytime or held up, only good thing I sore all year was Houston get over with defenders on him

Another thing is why can we never finish anything off on the right side? All the time whenever we get in the opp 10, there is a point in play where Mullen or Boyd gets the ball & you think we are gonna score but it doesn't come off. Last year we could score from anywhere anytime.

Mad Dog was huge for us on that right side. Shame he just couldn't string games together and wasn't 5 years younger.

No doubt about it, our pack is at fault and they are losing us games.

All the backs are doing their jobs, at times it's too much work for them.

I agree 100% it's our forwards fault, they get dominated in both defense and attack.

When we take up ball we get wrestled to ground, held down their markers get up and set themselves then we eventually stand up and play ball,

When we defend the opposition gets momentum, hits the ground and gets up for quick play the ball, meanwhile our markers are scuffling trying to get to feet.

With all this we burn twice as much petrol in both attack and defense while opposition forwards do it easy.

Poor performances all round

Went to Newtown to see our NSW Cup side humbled 64-24, thought things can't get much worse than this...got home watched first grade...how wrong was I???

I thought last nights performance was a step in the right direction, i was happy to see boyd have a great game along with sau finding some form, i thought mullen was predictable but looked dangerous on occasions, mason again was great, was really impressed with adams on debut was angry when he went off because when he was on the park it looked like we were getting a roll on and making meters easier then we have all year, then hilder came on and it looked like we were running up a sand hill.
costigan was a passenger again, as mentioned above how he is staying and taia is being forced out is beyond me?
I dont think the scoreline gives our performance justice.

Stig ... unfortunately he's out for a while.

One word - MacDougall.

No, we definitely improved on last week ... and the scoreline could have been closer. The worry for me is, we were at home, and still got towelled ... even if that scoreline probably didn't give a true reflection of the game.

Flicked on the pre-game show for the Raiders v Eels match and they went over our game last night, Mark Gasnier said even though we lost he thinks it was our best performance all year. Not sure what to think of that, sure there were positive signs and we saw Darius have his best for us this year but we've had better performances so far, such as against Canterbury and Penrith.
