That’s not good, I know he’s going to be very rich, but imagine walking into a fanbase where that’s the reception you get. Would be very tough mentally, I imagine.

You don't like the Brown deal, we get it. Most reasoned analysis of the deal and what's happening in the player market suggests that it's a risk, but a calculated one. But OK fine.

But there's no need to make stuff up to dump on the bloke. He's not a "dud" because you don't like the deal. And moving now didn't make sense for anyone.

I can already see how this is going to play out, with some deciding that Brown will be the scapegoat for everything that goes wrong before he even arrives at the club. And it's already tedious.

PS. Surely Farnsworth's over $1m deal for a bloke who is a great player, but who will get 30-40 less touches of the ball per game than Brown will give some context to the Brown deal.

Plenty of social comparison bias comes into a poll taken of a working class demographic about a $13M sportsperson lol. Let's see what the poll results are after Brown gets here and starts stacking wins with whoever replaces AOB.

True,

No doubt in my mind some people are salivating at the thought of when Brown knocks the ball on the first time.

I think you hit the nail on the head before it was even done, people will 100% use Brown as the scapegoat for literally everything hope he is ready for the toxicity he will be walking into as a Knight.

It's not a ridiculous amount of money in the context of what halves get in the NRL. He's the NZ 6, so to say he's playing a position he's never been good at is just silly. But he is going to cop flak, most is already unreasonable.
