Yeah the Sharks get a cap concession of some kind and CJ still gets paid whether she plays or is on maternity leave I believe. Pregnancy provisions were in the last collective bargaining arrangement as a non-negotiable. Pretty essential to have provisions like this if you ask me.
 
It was the funeral of a Graham Willard, a man I worked with for a number of years today and he and I talked A LOT of football and I always figured he was just a passionate Raiders fan but I found out he had so much to do with the womens football and he never mentioned any of it to me. He also played 2 games for the Bears!
Rest in Peace old fella and know that I'll take good care of your footy tipping comp at work.

Agree, I’ll never not be angry about that.

To me Ron is the most impressive person the club has had there in ages. It’s very easy to see why everyone speaks about him so highly and with such respect.

I’ve never not been impressed every time I’ve heard him speak. (Embarrassment is usually the feeling listening to most others at the club)
He’s a real leader and the exactly the type of person you want at a club.

Not sure the same can be said for anyone else involved in running the club. Poor guy must’ve stuck out like a sore thumb.

I hope he gets back here one day in some capacity. Unfortunately that’s probably another bridge burned
 
Did he REALLY want to coach NSW Cup like he apparently wanted to? Seems a bit odd to jump back to NRLW if that were the case.

Evidently so, whoever made the call really f***ed it for our women’s side. Took one step forward and then 3 steps back under Jefferies. Lost our best prop and fullback too. Good times.

Unfortunate, but very true.
Sometimes I wonder how the administration screw it up so badly, and seemingly without effort!
What was it Jack Gibson said about the front office….

He said he was keen to try and win three in a row in NRLW last year, so … 🤷🏻‍♂️

What a joke an NRL contract is? There is absolutely no integrity in our game after this.
This could only happen to the Knights!
Sometimes it is really hard being a Knights supporter.
I have season tickets for 2025, but it will be the last. The Knights and the game are a joke!
 
I hope her ex-team sledge relentlessly for the whole game next time we play the Broncos. I’m sure the girls will know exactly what to say to upset her.

Makes you wonder why anyone’s bothered about whether Leo signs with us or not. He could just sign, boost his dollars for 2025, then claim some difficult circumstances and ditch us for 2026.

Mind boggling that we just let the best player in the game go like that, with three years left.

And to think I saw people saying she was facing such a terrible situation that she’d likely never play again lol. She couldn’t sign with the Broncos quickly enough!

Wanted to assume the best of club and player.
