With the very little amount they have in the cap have the Cowboys got anyone decent this year???

The Cowboys realeased a bunch of player. Roy Williams, Marion Barber and Marc Columbo to name a few. I dont think they have signed anyone massive or worth mentioning but they have re-signed a couple key players.

Randy Moss has retired from NFL...

A little thing doing the rounds atm is Jerry Jones will cut Tony Romo after this season if Cowboys fail to make post season again...

Where did you get these numbers from?

I know for a fact that the Steelers are over the cap atm and are trying to free up some cap space by re-negotiating player contracts and what not.

ESPN/Yahoo sports at the close of business Thursday.... Really the numbers before franchises could sign players on last Friday...
The article below is from a Steelers beat reporter John Buffone, what sums up the Steelers cap problems at the current moment...

After resigning Ike Taylor and Willie Colon, the Pittsburgh Steelers made a much-needed wave of cuts to stay under the new $120 million salary cap. Such cap causalities so far include offensive linemen Max Starks and Flozell Adams as well as receiver Antwaan Randle El. After signing all of their draft picks however, the Steelers will once again be over the cap. More cuts could be on the way but reports are indicating that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will have his contract restructured to help relieve some cap space. Under his current agreement, Roethlisberger’s salary will count for about $16 million against the cap in 2011. How Roethlisberger’s contract will be redone is still uncertain but having his base salary count as a signing bonus and then distributing it over the extent of his contract is a possibility. With more cap wiggle room, the Steelers may be able to avoid cutting more role players such as defensive end Aaron Smith and linebacker Larry Foote. The extra cap space could also help the Steelers begin talks to extend some of their franchise players such as safety Troy Polamalu linebacker LaMarr Woodley. Both Polamalu’s and Woodley’s contracts expire after the 2011 season.

NFL Gamepass is only $120, bargain!

Yea man loving the trades of Ocho and Fat Albert, disappointed we lost Jarrad Page to Philly though, but you can't keep them all I guess.

Steelers are appatenly 11mill over the cap though, thoughts on that ?

Knew we'd have to make some moves and we did, so it's a non issue atm really. We've cut a few players and re-structured a few contracts to get us back where we need to be.

Be interesting to see how Philly goes this season. Seems as though they're the next team who's bought into the philosophy of trying to buy a championship. Thing is it's never proven to be an effective formula, just ask the Redskins. They definately look better on paper though, and the Asomugha signing was a good one.

Its cause the Redskins never really had a good team, or good quarterback to start with lol.

Although we are shaping up well defensively this season. We are still a O-line and QB away from being relevant though. All things point towards them tanking this season with Beck at QB, so they can go after Luck next year.

Well we have the offense. We just need the D and thats why we have made all these moves. Apart from Babin, Nnamdi and Jenkins there isnt really that many FA brought in to be starters. The rest are back ups really.

Jets are another one of those teams that would rather spend up big in FA rather then having a solid draft.

Rams Rams Rams! (Nothing like blind faith!)

I'm actually interested to watch the Rams play this season, more so to see the development of Sam Bradford though.

He had a good rookie season and showed great potential.

Do they suffer second year syndrome in the NFL too? He exceeded expectations last year, hope he can keep it up!

This season Bradford will have a break-out year in his second season in the pro ranks, the Rams have found some good pieces what will help Bradford more... With Donnie Avery back after doing his knee in last seasons preseason game against the Pats, former Jaguar Sims-Walker & third round draft pick from Boise St Austin Pettis... But the big part of there offence is now having a new option at RB Cadillac Williams the former Bucc in the third & fourth down plays, what takes pressure off Steven Jackson in this offence...

Nah... very rare!!!

Away from the NFL for this moment... Texas A&M on monday will move to the SEC in 2012... Then from 2013 Clemson, Flordia State & Missouri will follow...

This will make the SEC more powerful with 16 team conference & will make the new 7 team Big 12 weak, what opens the door for MWC getting a BCS bid after the current TV deal is finished...

It now looks like TCU should of waited out a couple of years because the Big 12 will for sure expand most likely 2013-2014 to make up the numers to 12 again!!

Schools like TCU, BYU, Houston, Arizona, Air Force, San Diego State & Arizona State would IMO be the leading schools to move into that conference within the next couple of years...
