WOW, it looks a lot better than first thought. There is still no ref but the actual gameplay looks solid.

The tackles look awesome! The passes dont look that great, but that is easily goin to be the best RL game ever made

Gotta love I think Mullen and Cross in that first impact tackle on a brisbane player. Also I am glad they brought back the passing system where you know where the ball is going to.

Looks like a slight improvement on the past games, but in a similar mould. The gameplay must be very tough to create for a league game, but there doesn't seem to be much fluidity in the running/stepping and passing. I remember when playing RL2, you would just have to shuffle the ball out through the backline. All players are standing still - there's no feeling of players running on to the ball, decoy runners, set plays etc.
Not being too critical though, it's better than no game at all! Would be great to see a big developer have a crack one day - 2K would be amazing, but what are the odds of that!

I think it looks rubbish, exactly like Rugby League 1 and 2.
Best gameplay in a league game is still ARL 96, shame they can't beat it!

For the limited resources Big Ant would have, I think they have done a fantastic job. The tackles look so much better and the gameplay looks much smoother. It will also have its cons but by the looks of it, its definetly an improvement over previous titles.

2. Future online updates to change player rosters and potential
content in 2011 (stadiums etc)
3. NRL Field markings change depending on Friday/Saturday/Sunday or
Monday games (system clock)
4. Sideline camera is much improved and a great way to play. (top to
bottom, not left to right)
5. Impact Tackles and close ups of the BIG HITS!
6. Field and Jersey Degredation. (play in the rain and jersey will get
muddy etc)
7. NRL All-Stars Team (Locked on Ps3, OPEN on Xbox)
8. Indigenous All-Stars Team
9. MCG stadium (Locked on Xbox, Open on Ps3)
10. Drag Tackles over the sideline. cool!
11. Cut out passes to take advantage of overlaps by pressing circle or
triangle or X. (need to watch the video for this one)

I got a influx of adds from posting my PSN - Brockothoko over at Sidhe.
Guess it gives you an idea that you will have some people to play with, i prefer to play with people who have met me in some way shape or form than playing some complete random.
