Hello all Newcastle fans, as you can see im a Cowboys supporter, long time reader on this forum as I grew up in the Hunter and have a soft spot for the Knights, thought i'd finally join and talk some footy.

Scott, Moore, Tamou say hi.

Also Matty Bowen says hi aswell.

No doubt the Knights have a talented roster mate but I think you are going a little over the top with how good some of them actually are. I remember seeing a similar thing on this site 12 months ago from members on here and look how that turned out.

Always good to be positive and upbeat but to think they are definates for top 4 etc is a little crazy to say the least.

If you paid proper attention to my post you would have noticed I was referring to the team on paper for 2013... Well see how you go next season against us

Now, who is Moore? Buderus hasn't heard of him.. Tamou and Scott are the best but you guys have no hooker, where as, we have one of the best to have played the game, a former skipper of the Kangaroos. Furthermore, Mason (Kangaroo and Clive Churchill medalist) and Snowden (Kangaroo) would definitely have something to say about yours and others attempts to discredit them.

Really, If you minus Thurston from your side you blokes are bottom of the table material. But that is besides the point.

The point is that we are, by professional expectation, a top four side. This is evidenced by our favour on the tab. We are a whole lot shorter than the Cowboys and within four places from the shortest team, the Storm.

Im not saying TAB predictions are psychic predictions, Im just pointing out that all bias, conjecture and culture is set aside when money is at stake, and as far as the professionals are concerned, on paper the Knights have a greater potential for sucess that most teams in the comp, including the Cowboys

Listen sonny....I've been a Knights supporter since 88, and a league fan for 50yrs, how you replied to Cowboy man was extremely rude, he wasn't trolling, he was just saying hello and trying to participate.

Maybe if you take more notice of other teams and players instead of the Knights only you may of came across Scott Moore. He is a Pom who was at one stage considered the next big thing to come out of the country. Debuted in the Super League as 16yr old. Has played for a few clubs over there and not settleing due to off field incidents.

He did however have a great breakout year at Huddersfield a couple years ago which got him Hooker of the year in that comp ahead of James Roby (who i'm sure you have heard of) as well as selection in a one off test against France. That year he had a great season was under a coach named Terry Matterson who is now believe it or not an assistant at the Cowboys so I got no doubt the Cowboys can get him to settle down off field and get him back to his representitive best. He is still only 22/23.

Ahh so Boyd being on more money makes him the better player? Or does it mean that Boyd goes where the money and Bennett is and Bowen is loyal to the club that gave hime his first chance and is in the area he grew up. I'll let you have a think about that one for a sec.

If memory serves me right we the Cowboys opened up shorter then the Knights anyway and are still shorter now. Don't get what the fuss is over what odds we or the Knights are anyway, did you not see how the Tigers performed this season just finished....

Gotta love when clubs bring out the Premiership card, would love to know how the trophy cabinet helps the players perform out on the field.

If you watched the Cowboys this year you will notice JT wasn't our main man this year. By far Matty Bowen was the better player and our key player this year. But ofcourse when the Cowboys go well its off the back of JT and JT only according to the media.

Don't want to go on about the Cowboys too much as this was not my intention but they will do fine if/when JT leaves or hangs up the boots, especially if they keep both Scott and Tamou beyond next year. Scoot, Tamou, T Sims and Taumalolo in the starting pack is mouth watering to say the least.

I like the Knights and hope they have a good year, back end of last year they were a very attractive side to watch hopefully Bennett lets them play like that from the start of the year and not when the season was all but over like this season just gone.

We are one season into a complete rebuilding phase. There are a multitude of reasons we did not live up to expectations in 2012, 2013 however is completely different.

When Thurston leaves you guys have a good enough side to manage but it won't be pretty.

Why do people believe this? If the Knights had the confidence & ball control they had at the end of the year but at the start, they would have played the same way. Bennett didn't just say to the boys in the game against the Tigers mid season, hey you know what guys? Let's play football where we don't drop the ball because our season is over already in Rd 16.

Well to me outside looking in it looked like he tried to get you guys to play the same style as the Dragons but it just didn't work because the Knights have more flair and natural attacking abilities then that Dragons squad Wayne had inherited.

Hence why there were alot of errors and lack of confidence as they were tentative in whether they should try somthing as simple as an offload or throwing that extra pass. Thats the way I saw it.
