Kai Pearce-Paul discussion

Can you point to something that suggests this is the true story? If it is, I'll recant and say you're totally right.

But everything I remember reading was that we made multiple offers, that his management refused to engage and wanted to 'go to the open market', and that he ended up signing with the Roosters for less than we had offered.
Hang on, since when we're we discussing Dom's contract? If you think he went to Roosters for less money than he was offered by us, when several other teams were documented as having offers stronger than ours, then I've got a bridge to sell you.

My original comment and the body of my following post was about KPP. I'm not interested in being drawn into chatting about Voldo

You literally said “We offered the Dark Lord something with a 5' infront of it. Roosters offered something with a 7' infront it.”

All Monty was asking for was for you to back up your statement with proof.

Yeah he needs to step up his game. We might not be using him right but he’s making a heap of simple errors. He’ll be reaching Jesse Ramien levels soon.

He only made 22 tackles v Broncs.
The only games he has made less were the 2 games when he played 40 minutes off the bench (18 and 20).
He has been making more and more tackles in the last few months - averaging about 40 - most he has made was 47.
I can't work out why he made about half his usual tackles in this game.

That’s an interesting stat. Carrying an injury?
Or had jack of the coach and planning to sign with the roosters!

Real possibility of burnout too. Only missed one game all year, this is his first time playing the back to back grind of elite NRL football. He'll be so much better for the run next pre-season, all the experience gained, a good rest and another few kilos of muscle built onto his frame.
Yep to be fair , didn't have of a pre season with that foot injury . And coming from super league Obi-ball is prob far more physical then he has experienced before

An article about KPP’s injury, including some graphic details.

That picture is gruesome! How the f do you keep playing with that?!?

I like KPP, been a solid 6.5 out of 10 for me this season. Would’ve finished a 7 or 7.5 if he maintained or kicked on. Expect bigger things from him in year 2.

I know a lot of people seem to be down on him, but is anyone else really excited to see KPP play next year, with an NRL season under his belt and a proper off-season? I feel like we should be able to structure some plays around him and take advantage of his strengths a lot more with the pre-season to prepare.

I am,
Especially if they play him on the right.
Lucas left, Kpp right.

Agree with Slots about the $.

The only reason people are down on him is his contract starts with a 7 next year. If it was a 5 they'd be doing backflips that a bloke with zero pre-season from the other side of the world looked like a legit NRL player from day 1.

He could legitimately be the best backrower in the comp in 2-3 years.

Victim of circumstances, we need a half and props more than we need backrowers man.

Frizz and Lucas are fine for the next 2 years until a junior puts there hand up we need Leo more than KPP, will be filthy if we lose both.

Im not, i think he is elite and id be extremely disappointed if we dont resign him. We need to find better ways to utilise his skilbase though. Have Sharpe and Ponga trailling him every hitup.
