Kai Pearce-Paul discussion

He has an opinion that most of us are trying to forget due to a great disappointment at loosing a great player.
The nerve of him to continuously remind us of our very sad loss but even more so of Roosters ability to lure players we want to keep. We’ve gained players from other clubs in the past and lost others, he won’t be the last but he will likely end up the best we have lost.
Time to move on, for all

KPP had a very poor pre-season due to surgery on his foot injury and a long recovery period.
It's very surprising how quickly he has got up to NRL level.
I suspect he has a lot of improvement in him still.
Last year we saw Elliott and Hetherington both have an injury interrupted pre-season and they both took till the end of the season to look OK, and both have improved a lot this year, so seeing KPP being one of our best against Melbourne is very unexpected I think.

Totally agree. I was doubtful that he would get more than a few mins a game until mid season, but he has shown excellent signs from game 1.

Seems to learn quickly. Got done for 1 facial in game 2 and you could see him go to do it in game 3 but stopped himself. That's good ****

The thought of KPP hitting his peak and players actually supporting him waiting for an offload is very exciting, factor in KP and Pryce if he does develop in a game breaking 5/8 Hastings playing his best footy Leo and his twin hitting their peak lucas continues to develop along with Best and Marz doing their thing and we have the core of a premiership threatening team

Realistically, Ponga won't be supporting him unless it's a structured block play. In general play either of the half or the centre would need to be focused on supporting that free arm.

Will Pryce comes to mind

Article on KPP that pretty much says what I said in my post 3 days ago, but puts in all the stats to prove it.
Says he was our most effective forward in both attack and defence v Melbourne with 145 run meters and 39 tackles.
Says he has made 87 tackles and missed 2 in 3 games at 97.7% efficiency and is averaging 111 run metres.
Article also has quotes from KPP saying every NRL game is like a final in the ESL and that he feels he is still getting used to it and also still forming combinations with other players, so feels he can still improve as the season goes on.

Pretty amazing how 90% of this forum was saying he needed to be playing cup with Lucas in the starting team 😂
