I hadn't thought about it, but the way O'Brien was talking, most of the guys will stay in Queensland and have a holiday now - only a few coming back to see their family.
Makes sense - why would they come back to the middle of lockdown when they can go surfing on the gold coast or whatever.

Well I wouldn’t have even replied if you hadn’t added your jive brah.
i think it was a **** head opinion and that’s on me.
Enjoy the rest of your night

@knighttime

A couple of 50/50's went against us but the 2 soft tries before half time were the killers.
Happy to see Pearce stay one more year but I am hoping Hodgson can be like Robbie O at fullback. Ponga move to halves and invest in someone like Kikau when he’s off contract.
The Safs really need to find some Mongrel. Cambell- Gillard hurt us for a short period anyd we didn't respond for like
Anyway 15 weeks ago I thought we were a chance for the spoon.

I'm happy we were in the contest for the entire game.
A lot to work on.
But we are moving in the right direction.
We were never going to win the GF.

A couple of calls went against us, but a couple went our way. That's the game.

Pretty much my attitude Krusty, we had our chances to win it, some diabolical calls really hurt us, that's the lay of the land the ref knows they can get away with laying into the despised outsiders.

But we competed for the 80, and hey with the injuries we had this year, I'd say amongst the worst with obviously the Roosters copping way worse than anyone, we probably slightly over achieved for mine.

B- for mine for this season, on a positive, everyone in the top grade except for maybe Fitz should be right for the preseason @Billy ????

What lost us the xxxxxx game was that bullxxxx call with Hunt that led to a try because they had the ball down our end when they shouldn't have been and they scored and the second try in that period was a forward pass from the ruck .

Disagree mate, that set restart screwed us when we held him down for less than a second, would have went in half time in front instead where rattled.

Zero chance that was a set restart.

Isn't Friz our premium wide running backrower? Along with Barnett or Fitz I don't see in squad balance how we need Kikau.

Fitz and Randall are both supposed to be good to go for the start of pre-season.
Every year we get blindsided with a bunch of guys needing operations for injuries we never knew they had though, so I expect 2 or 3 guys will go for shoulder reconstructions or whatever.

Yeah nothing wrong with criticising a call, it's the refs are cheating, NRL wants an Eels Panthers game next week conspiracy theories I have a issues with.

No doubt the final try was 50-50 as to whether he connected with the ball.

All good with the first half of your post JG but I can’t give 50/50 on the ‘dropped’ penalty try 🤨…but we were our own worst enemy.

Forwards didn’t stand up and match the aggression of the Eels pack - Dan and Jacob are still young for middle forwards and that showed up today. Frizzel was strong for a bloke who shouldn’t have been left on the field after his HIA.

Brailey was his usual self, Barney played to his potential and Sue was OK. Connor wasn’t as effective as he has been and I thought Brodie was playing well until he went off HIA. I also thought King was playing well for the time he was on the field.

Pearce was not what he needed to be but Clifford was solid and will be better for that finals experience. Ponga was solid and tried to spark the attack but he still needs a lot of work on his defence to be considered an elite level player.

Hunt was good, Tuala was rocks and diamonds and Mann….well he was Mann😖.

We are still a long way off an elite level team but we are young, are building a decent culture of playing tough and gritty - it is not enough to win a premiership but it is a culture that is at least closer to the Knights I want to support
