All good with the first half of your post JG but I can’t give 50/50 on the ‘dropped’ penalty try
…but we were our own worst enemy.
Forwards didn’t stand up and match the aggression of the Eels pack - Dan and Jacob are still young for middle forwards and that showed up today. Frizzel was strong for a bloke who shouldn’t have been left on the field after his HIA.
Brailey was his usual self, Barney played to his potential and Sue was OK. Connor wasn’t as effective as he has been and I thought Brodie was playing well until he went off HIA. I also thought King was playing well for the time he was on the field.
Pearce was not what he needed to be but Clifford was solid and will be better for that finals experience. Ponga was solid and tried to spark the attack but he still needs a lot of work on his defence to be considered an elite level player.
Hunt was good, Tuala was rocks and diamonds and Mann….well he was Mann
.
We are still a long way off an elite level team but we are young, are building a decent culture of playing tough and gritty - it is not enough to win a premiership but it is a culture that is at least closer to the Knights I want to support
