Dylan Brown discussion

YouTube algorithm is a bit wack. Anything that comes across as “aggressive” the comment would usually wont appear or it would need approval from the channel’s owner.
I wasn’t aggressive or even arguing mate. I was just pointing out some of the pros for signing Brown from my point of view and others on here. That was literally it.

From the latest Brown article on the Telegraph. A few more lines after that reiterate it so not just a throwaway line, but this sums up the idea:

"This masthead understands Knights coach Adam O’Brien will consider deploying boom utility back Fletcher Sharpe at halfback next season to enable Brown to wear the No.6 jumper he has owned at Parramatta."

The Storm do it through their hooker, maybe Matt Arthur is the plan.
Yeah Harry Grant is undoubtedly the best Hooker in the game. But also Hugh’s has developed into probably the second best 7 in the game. Assuming we want to turn Dyl into a 7, it can be done if Hugh’s did it.

My comment about the Brown signing on James Graham's Youtube video was hidden. At no point was I attacking them or even dismissing their opinion, It seems like they aren’t interested in different perspectives from a knights fans point of view, just their own narrative.
These guys are just empty vessels, some have had a few too many head knocks.
We let them rant, but it makes developing players and new signings very happy when we win and achieve above the “experts “ opinions.

I've said it before and it was said above. These people are in the job of sensationalism, not facts. Attracting clicks is all that matters.

A fair while back headlines used to represent the point of the article and there was some clickbait headlines.

Now, all headlines are clickbait style sensationalist rubbish. Words like outrage used to describe a few social media posts etc.

It's pitiful.

Not unthinkable that they go on to replicate the 2023/24 system.

Hastings/Crossland at halfback on the left side, getting on the ball a bit more centrally, bringing forwards onto the ball, providing an option to cut back inside. Hastings directed traffic more and Crossland focused more on keeping the ball alive & support play. Both played as the secondary kicker, Hastings more short kicking, Crossland throwing up more long/high kicks. Always working towards a wide short side on the left for KP to operate in. Sharpe in this role, playing similarly to Phoenix? AOB says he has a big boot, so maybe it becomes his job to get his feet under him and try to kick it behind the back three when we're trapped in our own end.

Brown in the Gamble/Cogger five-eighth role of playing a lot of his footy mostly in a pocket on the right side (also providing a sweep option to the left). Kicking plan was reversed: Gamble kicked for distance, Cogger took the overwhelming majority of kicks once the ball passed halfway. Attacking plan on this side emphasised picking the right option between playing short to the back rower, playing out the back to Ponga, playing early to Gagai, or running. Brown in this role?

It could happen. I guess then criticism may come re: spending all that money on a five-eighth and putting a 21 year old at 7. May wind up simpler to just leave Sharpe with 6 on his back. IMO the number on the player's back does not matter, and AOB will just do what the players feel most comfortable with. Winning obliterates most criticism.

One thought I had about it this could be the dawn of an age of a trade block and players will be getting deals like this moving forward as a capitulation from the nrlpa so players at least have some security. I’ve had a few beers so I’ve got my dunce cap on

It’s also possible based on the extract posted here earlier that they’re thinking of going the full Jahrome Hughes and throwing Sharpe on the right side and this whole post was a load of spunk.

Yea I'm taking the OBI comments to be his first attempt at controlling the narrative and pressure on the player. 'He's not even gonna be playing 7 so stfu about it'

He'll probably still wear the 6 jersey but I have no doubt, more will be asked of him than is being asked at Parra with Moses holding keys to the ship.

Re Sharpe, if he can kick, that'll be great but we're yet to see it at all which isn't a positive indicator

I really hope Brown uses all the garbage that’s been said about him over the last 24 hours as motivation going into next year.
He'll be motivated, will be most likely booed everytime he touches the ball or his name is mentioned by the ground announcer on Sunday.

He shanked a crossfield in the trial for a 7 tackle set from memory.
