Dylan Brown discussion

I don’t think player managers should be allowed to have their own tv show but it is FOX after all.
I think it’s a fine line. Similar with Gould.

If they can keep things objective, great. But they cant be using it to benefit their club/player.

I think Anastasia (not correcting autocorrect), used his position for leverage with the Munster contract. And perhaps even a little bit with Pezet.

So we're waiting out the 10 day cooling off period before it gets announced, right?

Hopefully it's not a Dom Young Roosters thing where we just never announce it and he just appears at the start of the next season.

Have heard the Knights are frustrated at an announcement being held up by the NRL, not sure the reason but don't think it's anything that puts doubt over the deal itself. Believe the Eels have agreed to waive the cooling off period as well, so it's in the NRL's hands.

AOB had a presser today where he refused to talk about it (because he can't yet) and it's already spawned a couple of articles. I imagine it'll be edited out of the version the club post on their website but there's clips out there already. Brown is fronting the media today for the Eels but it'll be a similar story to AOB I'd say, though can probably talk more about why he's leaving the Eels but not where he's going or why.

Legit woke up this morning and realised Dlybro is basically a 'talented Straightener' who is worth 700-800k per season and we've just agreed to pay him nearly twice that for 10 years lol

Ffs this better work

If Cogger dished up attacking involvement like this while also kicking to the corners, hashtag straightening, and creating space for our generational fullback, we'd probably be talking to him about a long term big money extension right now.

I just hope we can afford to keep our talent like Lucas in a few yrs time when they will be worthy of a significant upgrade.
We aren't keeping off-contract talent like Leo and Dom as it is. Why? Our offers weren't blown out the water and by some reports were better - they just don't see the club going anywhere. If this move brings us success then I think it improves our chances of retaining players.

Would be interested to find out how much of that $1.3m is actually on the cap as well. A young, successful, marketable player with a big following would probably have companies interested. Hopefully Cannavo is being useful for once instead of pulling strings to get his son captaining the SG Ball side.
