I watched him play during easter, he seems to be going well with Leeds and hopefully is enjoying it. I was sad when i seen him play for a different team, it does feel weird, wish he had of stayed

I'm sort of watching it now..

He's still playing like the Buderus I remember. Plenty of heart in defence, always the first one to fire out of the line.

Im a leeds man and its nice to see him finally playing a game,i think his only played 3 or 4.
Not the same player but like anything it will take time and he'll be the player he always was.Champion

So, he is not in run on side, they are using him off the bench? I don't think he would like that.

Im actually on the fence with a big topic, obviously i wish we coulda kept Bedsy and he was playing right now, thats what my heart says but, i am thinking.....DeGois would be my preferred option at hooker over Bedsy atm.
How is beds goin?
Hes a champion definatly but DeGois is just so good so young......... ima thread this.

Buderus is in a class of his own. Nuff said.

Maybe you'd prefer a De Gois in his prime instead of a Buderus past his day, but Buderus is a god of the game and he'd always be my #1 choice. However De Gois would be my #1 choice to replace him.

Danny Buderus breaks try-scoring duck for Leeds Rhinos

DANNY Buderus has broken his try-scoring duck in the English Super League and warned Leeds Rhinos' title rivals his side is yet to hit top-form despite hammering in-form Harlequins.

The former Newcastle Knights and Australian Test hooker scored as Leeds ran in eight tries in a 48-14 win at the Stoop.

But Buderus insists the reigning champions have got plenty of room for improvement as the season approaches the business end.

"It's a big win and we did a good job against Harlequins after they won at our place," said Buderus.

"We learned a lot of lessons from that game and it's good to be heading in the right direction but we know we've got to improve.

"We showed how much quality we've got in the squad with a performance like that but we've not hit our straps properly yet. We've got a lot to build on now and we've got to back it up in the next few weeks with some more big performances.

"It was good to get my first try out of the way - it wasn't a classic but I've not scored for a while so I will take it."

St Helens coach Mick Potter saluted his substitutes after his side came from behind to set a new Super League record of away wins at Bradford in a 44-18 triumph.

England stars Maurie Fa'asavalu and James Roby and former Penrith powerhouse Tony Puletua all scored after their introduction from the bench as Saints won their 16th consecutive game on the road.

The Bulls led 14-4 midway through the first-half and Potter, who made more than 100 appearances for St George in his playing career, admitted their impact had proved crucial in helping them maintain their four-point lead at the top of the table.

"We changed things around in the first-half with Maurie, James and Tony coming on and it certainly paid off," said Potter.

"James showed how quick he is at dummy-half and he adds some real value off the bench for us.

"And Maurie and Tony were also very good. Maurie was dynamic and I wouldn't want to have him running at me. They all got a try and they definitely enjoyed that."

Huddersfield Giants coach Nathan Brown blasted his players after they slipped to a shock 13-6 defeat to Castleford Tigers.

And the former Dragons boss admits their chances of a successful end to the season will be ruined if they do not start learning their lessons.

"We keep committing the same errors week after week and that's got to change," said Brown.

"We've got away with them in some games but we won't do that every week - we are making poor decisions when we make line breaks. We've got to be a lot smarter than we are being at the moment.

"We only completed 60 per cent of our sets of six and when it gets that low it's unacceptable."

Buderus facing spell on sidelines

Former Newcastle Knights hooker Danny Buderus could be sidelined for the rest of the Super League season after his club Leeds confirmed on Saturday he has a broken tibia.

The Australian Test star sustained the injury in Friday's defeat to Wigan and scans on Saturday confirmed the break.

With Leeds currently second in the table and the Grand Final 11 weeks away, Buderus faces an anxious wait to see if he can play again this season.

Rhinos physio Meirion Jones said: "Fortunately we were able to get Danny in for an X-ray on Saturday morning and to see our specialist but unfortunately he has confirmed that Danny has suffered a fracture to his tibia.

"He will be in plaster for six weeks and then will begin a period of rehabilitation after that, which we will assess the length of once he has seen the specialists when the plaster is removed."

Head coach Brian McClennan added: "We are all disappointed for Danny especially as he has been playing so well. However, he will receive the best possible treatment from our medical staff and they will have him back as soon as he is fully fit.

"We have got him seen by the specialist at the earliest opportunity and now the hard work starts for Danny to get back to action.

"Every team suffers injuries during the course of a season which is why you need a strong squad and we have every confidence as a group that we can continue to build towards the play-offs starting next Saturday against Warrington."

Hope he recovers well and fast. Wouldnt want to have him missing for the whole season.

quite injury prone b4 going over there. What is it with Newcastle greats becoming injury prone? Harrogan, Johns Brothers, Simpson, Buderus probably more. Even Tahu was begining to be injury prone back in 04, and has continued it one somewhat.
