LEEDS Rhinos hooker Danny Buderus is appealling for help recovering items of great personal value stolen in a burglary at his English home while he and his family were asleep upstairs.
The Leeds club has posted a story on its website as well as sending out an appeal on Twitter.
Buderus played for the Rhinos in their win over Hull FC on Friday night (English time) before returning home. He went to bed around 2am and was up at about 6.30am with his two-month-old son.
When he went downstairs he discovered that his home had been ransacked by thieves.
Among the items stolen included Buderus' mobile phone, the family laptop and his wife's wedding ring.
"We are devastated, " said Buderus. "For anyone who has experienced this, it is a horrible feeling.
"Whilst most of the items taken can be replaced but things such as my wife's wedding ring and the laptop, which had all our family photos from our time in Europe with my wife and daughter along with all the special photos of our son, who was only born just before Christmas, can not be replaced."
