Am I the only who's lost interest ?

Everyone is disappointed but I took "losing interest" to mean no longer watching and supporting the team but I have a history of getting these things wrong.

OK well my losing interest means I still go to the games and cheer my head off but I dont spend all week long looking forward to games at the moment.

Don't spend the week worrying about the next match but go off like a fire cracker on gameday. Sounds like marriage.

I don't lose interest. I just get ticked off and usually am for a week because I have to put up with it for that long. Iam usually not looking forward to the game after because if it's against a tough opposition I know we'll be in for yet another loss.

It's not just the knights either. It's the whole sport. I just find it incredibly boring now. I can't even watch a full game these days and even when i do like origin on wednesday it's the same old ****. Queensland win in the dying minutes of the game in a way that wouldn't normally be allowed. I'm not suggesting league is scripted like wwe but think about it....... They bend the rules so queensland win. They seem to think by creating this unbeatable team it will somehow draw in more viewers it won't.

A few other things below just quickly

*The rules don't make sense and they seem to make them up as they go along

*The media constantly destory rugby league's biggest stars by creating b.s stories to sell papers hurting league's image in the process

*They can't get enough income in the game forcing our best players in the game to go overseas to make the big bucks

* Ch 9 thursday night footy show seriously........ watch it..... compare it too even 3 years ago and it just shows how league has changed and the direction it's going in. Their trying to make the show just like the sport very family friendly to the point it's hard to take seriously

* RUGBY LEAGUE SHOULD BE BIGGER THAN A TWO STATE GAME !!!!!!! this ****es me off the most ! theirs no growth whatsoever. They seem happy with the small crowds and lack of hype. AFL gets 80 thousand people to a game rugby league is lucky to get 20 thousand. This proves what a failure the sports is IMO

Look at it this way. In the time i've watched league late 90's -2012 the sport has lost/closed down more teams then their've created meaning theirs less interest in the sport and they need to make the sport smaller to help keep it afloat................... afl keeps increasing in size

The Knights were good back in the 1990 and 2000's as well but now it's not worth watching anymore. If the Knights do get the spoon i hope most of them will get sacked.

Whilst I don't have the passion that you do Cole phelps, I do find myself nodding along with most that you've said again...

I find myself getting angrier and angrier, yelling at the tv, getting furious at the lack of effort ... then I get pins and needles down one arm and an extreme pain in my chest, so then I have to go lie down for a while.

You...you should probably see a doctor.

This pretty much sums it up for me. I used to be a fanatical RL fan but the last 10 years have seen some very detrimental rules creep in that has turned the game into a grey-area wasteland. Don't even get me started on the 2 referee system, one of the WORST ever things to happen in the game. The ball stripping, diving, wrestling, slowing of the ruck etc. etc. I still love the Knights but the game and the administrators are killing it for me.

My interest in the Knights is waning, but I still enjoy watching other games. That Tigers/Cowboys game was fantastic.

I was losing abit of interest from our recent poor performances so I starting betting on the games and now it's as exciting as ever!

The game itself is going down the gurgler compared to how it used to be ... and yep, it's mainly due to the refereeing interpretations these days, and rule changes, that have killed the attack of sides and made it a lot less entertaining than it used to be.

So many rules are just ignored now - stuff like voluntary tackles. Who ever decided it was a good idea to stop penalising them? I can't believe that it's not a penalty now if you offload after you're tackled! Slows the game down even more as they reset the play the ball.

But ... I would never lose interest in the Knights.

I agree that league as a whole is losing it's charm, with the gang tackling, slow play the balls, overly-structured play and kick tries. The game is dominated by the most boring teams, mainly. I get to local league games fairly often, and they are more entertaining than NRL games 10 times out of 10.

I have to say, the local Auckland club game that was the curtain raiser for the Anzac Test, was actually more entertaining than the test itself.

It was a lot more free-flowing, and the refereeing was a lot better, too.

truth be told i put alot of the blame on melbourne storm, thanks to gang tackles and wrestling and chicken wings etc i know other teams do it too, but they were the ones that introduced it, a few months ago i watched a game from the 90's given it was a test match but i was blown out by how fast it was.
oh how i miss those days

I couldn't believe Billy Slater said after Origin 1 that it was the fastest game he'd ever played in! It was slow as compared to ten years ago!

There's definitely not much use for extreme fitness in the game these days.

I had tickets to the footy for yesterday arvo for Tigers and Cowboys. I was that disillusioned after our Sat night performance that i couldnt even bring myself to go and watch a couple of teams that actually have form.

Im due to head up to Newwy for Rd14 against the raiders with a raiders fan mate, when we booked it i thought he could drive and i could have a few beers and cheer all the way home. I will probably be sulkin home now. Is there such a thing as footy depression?
