I’ve been at Knights fan since 1988 and unfortunately I’m still learning about underperforming Knights coaches and players.

Well we really needed to win at least 2 out of these 3 games between byes to stay in touch with the eight. So this week is another must win game. Lose and we'll be hard pushed to make the eight which makes you think it might be a pretty big contributor to his job security if we don't get the points.
 
This should be a win for us. If we can’t win against an understrength Manly at home, then some real problems. Hopefully the team can switch into early form shown with Gamble and Hastings in the halves. And Ponga has a good game at FB. I think considering the hooker situation Crossland is doing a decent job at hooker. And who ever is goal kicking can slot a few over!
 
I wonder if we’ll ever see Ponga goalkicking again … his second season with us he kicked at 82.7%, so he’s got the ability. Funny how he’s never mentioned as a possibility anymore.

Seeing Jarrod Croker land them from all parts and be the difference for Canberra last night made me jealous haha.

He seems a real confidence player.

If his confidence is up he can do anytihng, down and he can be a calamity.

That actually surprises me. I thought it was less.
 
I really think knights should just pull the trigger on AOB. You could argue the jury is still out whether or not he’s a middling coach. But it’s well and truly concluded that he’s not a top coach. So why bother persisting with him? If we lose today we can pretty much kiss goodbye finals this year and should pull the trigger on (attempting) getting a great coach.
 
Does anyone else think the pre game warm up is way too long and intensive. The players look tanked at the end of it, with little time to recover before the match starts. I get warming up but you are not developing any new skills 15 minutes before the game starts, only using petrol in the tank that would be better used against the opposition.
 
Kurt Mann needs to be the 14 to relieve Crossland for about 20. During the game. You could see how gasses Crossland was at the end of the game. Surely the coach can see it.

The coach did see it but said Crossland had a feel for the game that someone off the bench would not have.

The coach needed to select someone on the bench to replace Crossland that he was confident of. Selecting Miller on the bench when the coach was not confident of his defence in the middle was a bad selection.
 
Obi hasn’t used the bench well, hopefully with Mann back we see Crossland getting a break 10 either side of half time and our middle forwards being rested at various times
