2025 Recruitment And Retention

Genuine question. Would he be an upgrade on Cogger?
Cogger and Lamb were a great junior halves pairing - Lamb was the playmaker and game manager.
Crossland and Madden were a great junior halves pairing - Madden was the playmaker and game manager.

If we are looking for a game manager - Madden is a natural one. Cogger has learnt to be an adequate one, but it's not his natural game.

Ok thanks.

Bit on O’Sullivan/Knights in the Telegraph. Says he thought the roster needed major changes when he arrived but has changed his view to only needing a “restructure.” Quote: “change a few contracts, bring a few players in key position and I think we are swimming with the big boys.” Points to Phoenix & Leo becoming internationals and Lucas & Sharpe becoming genuine NRL players as proof that the Knights can develop players.

My wish list would be Leo and KPP staying and another prop.

A great half would be nice, but we have enough project halves between Cogger, Gamble, Pryce, Hastings and Crossland. Sadly, top halves that do exist are going nowhere and for us to get 1 Hastings would have to go.

Hopefully in 2025 2 of the above can do a job my ideal.

1. Ponga.
6. Crosslands.
7. Cogger.
9. Brailey.
14. Gamble.

I am not upset if we run with that.

Legit question if Cogger is not a playmaker what's his role, his slow, weak, doesn't seem to have a great passing game and no long kicking game.
Only thing I can think of is an okay short kicking game and is smart enough to spot a gap and run through it on occassion?
