2025 pre season thread

The face and hair to De Courcey's left look like Haami Loza but he's put some muscle on if it's him. Was rumoured on here that he was leaving but still has Newcastle on his social media so hopefully not the case.

Could be Taj Annan over the back with Matt Arthur, he looks like a giant but Arthur is pretty short.
 
Looks like Loza to me, and the skinny guy might be Sutton, but hard to tell with the shade on.

Footballers over complicate things at times.....how hard is it to learn how to play prop?

Run hard, make your tackles and don't be lazy....hate the excuse, need someone to learn from.

Honestly, like Dsaf was a good example to learn from.
 
Another couple from social media. Looks like Votano's face obscured by AOB, Annan next to Hopwood, and Malachi Smith towards the back.

Second pic has to be Haami Loza in the background. Glad he's still around and also training with first grade, this year was his first in SG Ball so still very young.

Think I can place all but 2 of the group training pic - one in the foreground with orange boots and one behind Hilliar to the very right. Pretty certain that's Votano behind AOB, and Loza or the Loza clone is the other one hidden. Manuleleua is next to De Courcey. Thompson not visible but definitely there based on other pics, and there's a few covered up.

Does look like Sutton in the beach pic though Zac Herdegen has a very similar build as well and can't really see the face.
 
Good to see (or not see) Greacen there.
Even I thought it was a stretch when I mentioned him earlier in the thread, but he was close to our best forward in the back half of reserve grade and still only 22 or 23 I think.
I thought it was Linnane in the photo, but no mullet threw me.

Such great news if we’ve managed to keep Loza. Apparently his family had a sit down with Blair and POS

Crosswell sounds like he may have changed his mind and stayed as well.

That last Knights80 lost. Everyone of them are first grade potential in next two years. Superb production line.
 
Greacen checks out as the one I didn’t recognise in the orange boots.

Is that Linnane next to Hilliar? Couldn’t tell you what his face looks like but just assumed it wasn’t him because of the different hair.

I'm not sure now. I think I was looking at Matt Arthur.
 
It's a very young pre Christmas squad.

There might be guys who haven't been there for day 1 for different reasons, but I thought we'd see Sua, Bryan, Davies, Aoake, Latu, Herdegan and it would be nice to see one or two surprize selections as well.

Another snail slow start to the 2025 season coming up for our Knights.
Surprising? Not really.
