Maybe Kurt Mann is leaving so Phoenix is taking his spot? I dunno I’ve got nothing. I think I might cry if he gets re-signed. No offence Phoenix it’s just… what the **** are we doing?
 
You can pre-pay or front-load some deals to give you more space in later years. They’re gonna go after someone who’d demand a higher salary who’s off contract in 2024 obviously, likely multiple players. Possibly as many as 5.

Also in year 2 of KP’s new deal he’ll need a bump to $1.5 million a season, we need to find the money for that.
 
You have to spend 95% of the cap every year so you can't rollover huge $$$ and all of the 2024 big name targets are pie in the sky stuff, Moses/Brown/Munster etc aren't coming to the Knights.

Probably end up throwing money at rapidly declining forwards in the end.

Yeah Munny and Moses are not likely to come to us. Brown likely also a no go because he and Joey don’t get on even though I think he’s gonna end up at the highest bidder (so honestly might end up at Wests, I’m not joking).

So?

Still owe it to the fans to try and get the best players you can.
 
Sure, but trying to save 200k by choosing Crossland over Mann is dumb any way you look at it.

Not that I think Mann is going anywhere, we'll have a quarter of the squad devoted to useless "utilities".
 
Latest entirely unverified rumours I've seen are suggestions we'd trade Dom Young to Manly for Reuben Garrick and that we would also entertain a player swap with Souths for Dom if the right player were offered.

I rate these both as extremely unlikely to have any validity whatsoever and the mere thought of either makes me physically ill.
