A lot of people in NZ say how terrible the place I live is, so I don’t really like to hear other places talked down as well. Everywhere out there is someone’s home.
Makes sense, I’ve got a place or two like that too haha.Fair enough. I’ve had a couple of bad experiences in Penrith so you won’t hear much positive about the place from me.
I like the stadium? I don't see anything wrong with the facilities at blue bet. The academy is where it's at. The fans out west don't need no fancy dress party.Penrith the town sucks but they sure did steal a march on the rest of the comp with the NRL facilities they built. Besides the heap of **** stadium of course.
Maybe spare Wembley thoughEvery stadium except Marathon (and, okay, CommBank) is a heap of **** which should be burned to the ground.
The previous state government was planning to redevelop the stadium but the new state government has put a stop to that.I went to a game at BlueBet back in 2013 and wasn’t impressed with the stadium. Aesthetically, it looks like a dogs breakfast too.
So they should........if the clubs are posting a profit then use that to build your new stadium. Don't go digging in my back pocket. If it takes a few years to get enough money then so be it. Everyone else has to "save" to buy things so bugger Penrith. The previous state government was planning to redevelop the stadium but the new state government has put a stop to that.
Probably still much warmer than NZ haha. But when I went on that Blue Mountains hike it was definitely nippy, I sure felt the temperature drop as I moved up in altitude.I live in western Sydney (Parramatta area) but not as far west as Penrith and I worked in Penrith for a while. A lot of the suburbs around Penrith have quality houses which are only a few years old. The real estate there is expensive.
The Panthers complex has quality restaurants, theatres and bars. It has a huge shopping mall. There are many tradies and professionals that live in the Penrith area. The majority that live there are friendly middle class people.
The climate in Penrith is not the best it does get hot in Summer and cold in Winter and it is a long way from the beaches.
But it is not a bad place to live.
Canberra is another place that gets a bad wrap, but I really enjoyed my trip there, cool city and stadium. And it helped that some Shannon McDonnell magic lead to a classic Knights win lol.The stadium wasn’t too bad when I went. Just the rest of the place and the people that I didn’t like.
Really like Commbank, Gosford, Canberra but WIN Stadium in Wollongong is my favourite. Great drive down and such a beautiful location.
There are a lot more important things for the state government to spend it’s funds on at present than upgrading Panthers Stadium. So they should........if the clubs are posting a profit then use that to build your new stadium. Bloody oath. The health system is is desperate need for an overhaul. Education system aswell. There are a lot more important things for the state government to spend it’s funds on at present than upgrading Panthers Stadium.
I live in Canberra and can say GIO stadium is awful, its a long way from the city and public transport options, the fans sit a long way from the field, the facilities are poor and worst of all, it's an absolute wind tunnel and the coldest place on earth in winter. They need the long promised new rectangle stadium in the city. It would be a game changer but successive governments put it off.Probably still much warmer than NZ haha. But when I went on that Blue Mountains hike it was definitely nippy, I sure felt the temperature drop as I moved up in altitude.

My wife is from Penrith and we go to a heap of games there, it's a **** stadium. It's impossible to get food or drink, it lacks modern corporate facilities and it's a death trap if there is ever a fire, getting out after a game is very very slow. They need a new stadium and where the pace way is would be logical. Penrith is a huge, growing population area and deserves modern facilities. They just need to find a better way to finance it.I went to a game at BlueBet back in 2013 and wasn’t impressed with the stadium. Aesthetically, it looks like a dogs breakfast too.
WIN stadium looks stunning with that outlook out to sea.The stadium wasn’t too bad when I went. Just the rest of the place and the people that I didn’t like.

Understandable but it's called the riff for a reason.A lot of people in NZ say how terrible the place I live is, so I don’t really like to hear other places talked down as well. Everywhere out there is someone’s home.
