2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

48 days till Round 1, still no fullback.
Really creeps up on you doesn't it, if we don't get Miller within the next week or so Hodgson should be pencilled in for round 1.

We effectively have 3 new spine members with KP moving to 6, attempting to shoehorn Miller into that mix so late is a recipe for disaster for both Hastings and Ponga.

The Hastings/Ponga combination is more important to future success than this years fullback, provided Bailey does at least a serviceable job in the trial we should let the halves run into their first season with the spine they have trained in over the entire offseason.

Yeah, if we don't get Miller pronto there's no point, no pre season to gel and work on combinations, season could be over before things click and there's a year of his contract gone, and he's another year older..

Better then gags at centre. If we have him at 1 it's a much better prospect. Best, maps, Lucas sure are younger fellas but you only learn by being there. Don't stress too much, you'll get a hernia.
Already got one haha. Well, a partial one anyway from years back. Not sure how it happened, but if I eat too much these days it can be excruciating.

If we have fullback sorted, maybe we can talk about hooker.
As far as I can see we have Brailey, a bunch of utilities, and some Flegg aged guys like Riley Jones, Kobe Rugless and Noah Naigolivia.

One injury to Brailey, and Kurt Mann seems our best option, just ahead of Crossland and Gamble.
