I think it was warriors get first shotWasn’t there some type of clause in his contract that if he did return it could only be to the warriors
One hundred percent true. Why aren't we going hard for this? For 2024 RTS seems a waste of salary cap space, but if we could get him now it would make me a lot more confident about 2023.
Well he went over the play the union World Cup, and that’s next year, so it seems pretty unlikely to me that he’d give up when it’s so close. Unless he’s been told he won’t make the squad under any circumstances, but that doesn’t seem like it’d happen.
Seriously do these so called journalists just lay in bed thinking **** up to chuck in an article.
Has there been any indications, murmurs or rumblings of RTS being interested in us or us interested in him?
I think so. Likes of Bradbury and and Bryan need another off season before they would be definite for full time first grade spots. Plus you need experience mixed with the youth. Kinda hoping it happens now. There is no downside to Taupau. 200 FG games. Has been marquee until only the last few years. Even if he arrives at Newcastle the exact player he was last season he'll still find a spot on our bench. At worst, he'll cover a spot that we'll need covered at some point. $300k is what we paid Hunt to play NSW last season.
Surely they go to market for another fullback?Wow, BIG salary cap increase. The Roosters cap increased by 35%. That is 25% in real world terms.
Reece Walsh just agreed to terms for 23. Tore up his Bronx contact in front of kevvie.Surely they go to market for another fullback?
Idk I really don’t think nrl players are hard done by lol. I’d kill to get the opportunity to play professionally. 120k minimum and 8 weeks holiday per year for a fringe player is a bloody fantastic in my book.
