2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

I agree.
But I feel like moving him to lock was a bad idea.
Imo he should have played 7 in reserves and 21's the last few years.
Would have been better for his development
i think moving him to lock/hooker helped his defense. its rare for a young half to be dominant & successful early on, but hopefully all the development pays off.

The thing with Crossland is that he's shown almost nothing aside from effort and physicality. It's not as if he's made a knack of tries, try assists, line breaks, line breaks assists, repeat sets, 40/20s, effective bombs or anything else.

He's shown no indication whatsoever that he has any of, let alone all of, the necessary skills to be a successful FG half. He doesn't have any of those skills.

throughout this year i thought he brought a better kicking game than our starting halves & a bit more a level head when he was playing 14. i'm not saying every game he played (so i dont get roasted), but the potential is there... hopefully.

there is no potential in Crosslands, he offers nothing.... it's a sad state of affairs that we are in this position that you are even considering him as an option.

For christ sake the bloke trips over his own feet, you couldn't even rely on him to run the drinks

Rumour has it (great song by Adele) that we are in the race to sign Tesi Niu for 2023 and 2024 seasons... thoughts?
i'd prefer to go after AL Brimson as fullback.

They have a lot of options in their halves as well as fullback.

At fullback they have:
AJ Brimson and Campbell

Their halves are:
Sexton, Boyd, Foran and Tom Weaver (played in under 19's for NSW this year)

yeah i thought we'd be going after AJ as well, good mates with KP and can play 6 or 1. I know he's on some good money but id be willing to pay

LOL, we had confirmation also that we signed Brooks for 2022 and 2023 season.

What I think has happened here Is that "someone" needs to take tne heat off themselves for the dumbass Brooks situation and has now made all of us get on the "Tesi Niu Bandwagon".

At least that will keep us talking until 2025 when It doesn't eventuate. 🤣
