2023 Recruitment & Retention Thread

Tom and Jake Trbojevoc we should go and talk to these 2 and see if we can sign them as they are not happy at Manly and Manly are re-evaluating there time at Manly ...
I know he's had a few injuries but Tom is a game changer of the highest order i'm not one who wants Ponga to go to 6 but if we could get Tom then Ponga to 6 it is .
Sure, don't think we could afford them, not sure if any team could except maybe the Dolphins. It would still leave us with no half back though.

A ball playing lock wouldn't go astray either. Can't see it happening.

Someone was saying on facebook that the NRL will not allow him to take the medication he needs to feel normal. I hope this is not correct.
Facebook is always a super accurate source of information so unfortunately it's probably correct.

So if the Knights start 2023 badly and they decide to punt AOB, there is a premiership wining coach
in Des Hasler who could take over.

Huh TPJ, Thomson, Mahoney, Kikau, Jackson and the fox would surely be taking up close to half there cap between them? Then 24 players to fit into the remaining half.

You do realise how many players the dogs have let go and have coming off contract, they have a crap load of cap space for the 24 season.

The power brokers at the Knights made the decision to give AOB at least another off season last month.

I disagree with the decision, but it's understandable.

Des becoming available is new information. If the board can't react, and can't do everything possible to get him here, they're derelict in their duty. I don't love Des, but he's a massive upgrade over what we have.

My job is all about evaluating management teams of large companies. They need to react when an opportunity like this presents itself. Unfortunately, I think it's unlikely we do the sensible thing.

the sensible thing is to go nowhere near Hasler. He has destroyed every club he has been at.

I agree we need to get rid of O'Brien now, not mid next season because it'll just be a waste of another year. O'Brien has had his chance and proven he isn't up to the job
