2020 Top 30 Squad

Sounds like a terrific bloke and we don't need a superstar in the 6, looks like his got a decent kicking game which an advantage over Watson, probably a NSW cup signing and fill in for depth.

I couldn't rate him less, would be happy if we ran with Brailey, Watson and that tackle machine from cup. Don't we have a 18 year old coming through Huth who'll be ready year after next as well who's a gun?
 
I've only seen him in one game - the state cup game against Newtown - but he seems like a very good organiser and has a very good kicking game. I could see him stepping into the 7 if Pearce was out for any reason and giving us a lot of the structure we totally lack when Pearce is out.
If he is backup for Pearce for minimum wage, it's a good signing I think.
 
His stats for this year say 88% tackle efficiency, but I don't know how Qld cup form translates.
 
Thought Fogarty would be good buy, cheap, cover 6-7, good kicking game, quite quick and give Lino time to be ready and bring the young guys along slowly, but sounds like not to be.
 
I liked what I saw of Fogarty, but if we had Fogarty, Lino, Randall, Crossland and Searle on the books that would be 5 guys with limited experience when we really need 1 guy with serious credentials at 5/8.
 
Was thinking more 2020 due to no funds for top notch 5/8, if rating its Lino (likely to miss start, injury), Fogarty, then Randall, Crossland and Searle with last two maybe needing time. Fogarty would also cover for Pearce.
Not counting Watson who is more 14 or cover for 9 and 1 but could make a good 6 if you sacrifice his versatility.
 
Matt Soper-Lawler is trying out for a contract , he's been playing well in Qld cup apparently . Could help with a wing spot .
 
I’m glad he’s back. Seemed like a bright prospect before getting cut. Hope he can prove himself and be a decent back-up for us.
