2011 NRL Premiership: Round 1 Discussion

I really enjoyed watching Chris Sandow tonight. He can be a good player when he concentrates on playmaking instead of putting on a shot every 2nd tackle.

The Broncos, I think they are going downhill fast.

Wallace looks like he has learnt nothing in the off season. Their pack is the main strength but can flop easy too.

Coach is a no name, I think Brisbane are just going to follow on from their 2010 season

I wouldn't write them off so quickly, sure they looked a bit underdone last night, but look at the age of their backs - I think they'll be a bit better for the experience, plus remember Hannant is still to join the team, that kind of firepower up front can't be underestimated and will allow Thaiday to return to the second row where he is most damaging.

kicking and attack was good but his defense cost them the game...
and as much as i hate the roosters and think pearce is overated i thought he had a good game and stepped up with no carney

Rabbitohs were fined $10 000 for fielding 14 men at one stage. So if they won would they have got the 2 points??

Agreed. Although I thought Anasta played better than Pearce. He was great back at five eighth. Pearce proved to me even more that he is overrated, he kicked it out a couple of times and got MOTM.

Dugans out this week aswell.
Hmmmm, not looking very promising for the Raiders now. They were my pick for the knockout round. Let's just say the Raiders 'forward' pack need to step up, escpecially with there first choice halves and fullback all injured.

I didn't see it but Dave said there were no plays while there was 14 on field, if so I think its a different situation to the Panthers/Bulldogs one.

Looks like they may have finally gotten rid of Jason Costigan haha. The commentator that did the Junior Kangaroos vs Junior Kiwis games is right now the lead commentator for the Warriors vs Eels game.

I think the Warriors look good, things just arent sticking for them much, it's been all Parra possesion wise. Terrible news for big Manu, gone after his first touch.

David Milne comes in for Josh Dugan & 2010 NYC hafback of the year Sam Williams comes in for Matt Orford. I was surprised, i thought Michael Picker would've come in. He's played in reserve grade unlike Williams & Picker was also pretty confident of a call up but Williams has got his shot now.

Luke Burt killing it atm with 16 points, 2 tries & 4 goals to his name so far.

Warriors need to score a converted try to bring it to extra time with 2 minutes on the clock left!
