2009 Knights Side - Opinions

Gidey 5 years ago would be someone we couldn't care less if he left... but now you can barely grab him for an autograph. It takes time... will be interesting in 5 years time who is 'high profile' by then.

I'm thinking:

- Jarrod Mullen
- James McManus
- Aku Uate
- Isaac DeGois
- Cory Paterson
- Zeb Taia has got it in him.

Will Play for NZ next year for sure. Were going to have a few Trying to get picked in that NZ squad next year. Taufua And Sau - Never officially pledged there alliance to Samoa. And Taia Is a shoe in. but thats just my bias opinion.:D

sorry for getting off the subject but...

a thought just came to me. a very good thought in fact.

i just imagined sau in the centres pairing up with aku on the wing.

any1 else agree that they would shred next year??

We need to see Uate get in some space more often than not, tempting to put him in the centers even.. just so he's closer to the action.

I can't see why you would do that when we have three specialist centres who are more than capable of doing a much better job - Naiqama, Sau and MacDougall.

MacDougall is yet to put pen to paper, and Naiqama is having injury problems..
Think about Uate drawing 2 or 3 defenders with his power, speed and footwork, and then passing it to the winger for a try ;)

Uate and Vuna.. Ahh the story of my two loves, Cant Split them.

Uate one Side Vuna The Other. Sau Uate's Center, Mcmanus Vuna's

:D

I may be biased since Vuna is a NZer. But I think he has shown a lot more in his first grade outings.

Of course, Uate has had very little opportunity so far in first grade. But I wasn't too impressed by what I saw this year. World Cup he was really good, of course, if not excellent, but he won't be coming up against defence like that in the NRL.

Maybe I just expected too much from the hype haha.

To be honest though James, not many people were chanting Greg Inglis's Name after a tiny amount of First Grade, The world cup just gave Uate Exposure, Which he needed. The success of Fiji helped that. But give him this year to impress you :D

I always thought Inglis was a top player in the making, same as Folau.

I get what you mean though! :)
