NRL Round 22 - Knights Vs Broncos - 7:35pm Saturday, 1st of August - Suncorp Stadium

Honestly, I reckon we're going to see a late 2023 performance from KP over the next month or so... He just seems to have that same fire burning in his belly for success at the moment

Trying to explain to my old man that after today the Sharks don't play another team in the top 8 and have games against the bottom two, and that they are quite possibly going to win most, if not all, of their remaining games... so we actually want them to beat the Rabbits today.

Our slim top 4 hopes are winning our remaining games and beating the Wahs in NZ. The Wahs play Penrith next week (so go Panthers).

It’s a soft run in in theory but in practice there are opponents in there who may get up for them.
Yeah, besides the Roosters, they have the Broncos and Manly who will both be desperate for different reasons, and they're away to the Titans for the final round, so they'll be playing their grand final.

So if that happens, and the Phins fall by the wayside. .. then if the Panthers beat the Wahs, and we beat the Wahs in NZ (and win our other games), I think that's our only realistic (but very slim) path to the top 4.

Yeah I had a play with the predictor and its basically not going to happen our top 4 chances are very slim even if we win all our games.

I tend to agree with Cronk, 5th or 6th is better than playing the top two first week of finals we have a rest the week before the finals so winning 4 in a row isnt out of the question and playing the dogs potentially week 1 of finals would be much better task than the Panthers or Roosters

I'm very late to party about this game, but truly so good to see boys play so well a week after such tough losses with injuries.

Just big wraps on Hopwood and Crouch, those too boys have stood up so so well. Hopwood I was worried about beginning of season, but the longer he plays the better he is.

I'd almost be looking at Saf off bench when he comes back. His impact could be awesome and Hopwood deserves to start as he's met and matched likes of Whyte and Hass past few weeks.

6th position. Can't worry about other teams realistically. If we're good enough we'll easily handle Raiders, Titan, Manly and then see what form Wahs are in for their final home game into a Bye. That Bye is looking very useful.

Haha could not disagree more with that and I think Cronk is taking crazy pills there. Two chances to make a prelim and one of them is a home game vs a team that just played an elimination final. Plus, getting that experience of finals intensity vs Penrith is very valuable.

No way Harv, you know the old saying, have to finish outside the top 4 to win it!

Some team is going to put together a month of amazing football and win it from 5-8th place, but my bet would be a regular top 4 team making the bottom of the 8 after an injury crisis and getting troops back at the right time...
