Knights Injury and Suspension Updates

Thought Hunt might be slightly ahead for f/b
Hopefully not.

I don’t really see anything in Hunt, he is a solid first grader and that’s about it, he really only has Ariel threat in his arsenal.

Very slow probably our slowest fullback option, no footwork, whilst he looks like he could be really strong in the future, he toke about 4 nrl games just to register a tackle break.

I think his future lies in the forwards to be fair he just doesn’t have enough to be a high end back in the nrl and with McCarthy, De Coursey, D’arce, Latu and Gow all those players look really talented and McCarthy ready right now. I just don’t see him as good as those I mentioned at the moment maybe in the same level as McCarthy but I’d say Kyle is just faster than Hunt.

Votano is a lot faster (no where near Sharpe but he is quicker than Hunt) can ball play, very good support runner, doesn’t mind the hard carries if needed, and can also be a Ariel threat so I think it’s time.

Right now I’d pick Votano at fullback and just so he doesn’t lose confidence I’d tell him to not be a hero and that we don’t expect to much from him it’s more a develop thing so he can play with freedom and relax.

Maybe start training Hunt in the forwards, he is a tall sucker maybe a prop? Lock? Just don’t see him as a high end back especially with the current crop coming through

It’s round 17, what’s the point of him coming back for a game or two?

There is ZERO chance this team makes finals. Not with our attack. Get him sorted for preseason.
I reckon we’d have made it if Ponga and Sharpe hadn’t fallen prey to injury, but agreed, no hope now. Hope they both take the rest of the season off.

Although Ponga might want to prove his fitness to the Kiwis, just saying!

Another 19 year old on the scrap heap. Oh well.

Ponga is entering Turbo injury status now. Does not have the robustness of a Teddy or Edward’s. Unfortunate. Oh well another year. 😢
Edwards took a number of years before he was fit enough to play long stints, he was always injured or at least playing wounded. Ponga could still get there but it is getting harder to believe that

Hunt at prop. I’ve heard it all now.
It’s called a spit ball muppet, learn what it means.

What does he have? He is good in the air and what? he is literally a clone of Corey Oates.

He is about what 6’3, judging from seeing him next to McCarthy, What’s he weigh? 92-95kg? Literally bigger than Leo, McEwen and ESL in height he just needs to muscle up (two of which were being spoken about transitioning to prop)

I also mentioned lock you failed to mention that one

I’d have De Coursey ahead of him right now, he looks like a future rep player and Hunt certainly doesn’t have that potential, I know we like to glaze juniors so Hunt will get a lot of leeway on here than people like Schiller and all that but I haven’t seen a single thing other than he is a threat under the high ball.

Mean while De Coursey has shown he is very fast for his size, incredibly strong and yet agile, he is literally a taller Bradman that can play wing, but lets keep the guy who can catch the ball well…

I love how in one thread people are saying we all write off juniors way too fast, here we hype them up way too much. There’s no winning!

A message for life that one, There is no winning! Only the struggle against the inevitable decline.

I have to say though, I can't recall someone on here being called a muppet before. Let's be careful not to turn in to that other forum.

This forum is a bit like a bastion against the great unwashed.

I really love that philosophy Kurroboy, very eloquently put!

Totally, there never any need to insult others on here.
