Knights possible targets for 2020

Are we assuming anyone else is gone? Other then Brailey for Levi swap.
Beyond this year we have 24 players signed in the top squad.
I assume from what I've read they wouldn't mind letting Levi, Moga and Guerra go.

We have an insane amount of middle forwards coming through.
We have 3 middles in SOO senior camp, 2 middles in SOO under 20s (Croker and Russell) and we were still able to bring in some very good replacements to firstgrade and some outstanding props in Cameron and Ticehurst from under 20s filled in in the reserve grade team and looked liked they were seasoned veterans.
We also have big props Christian Ma'anamia and Tom Baker up from under 18s making a name for themselves in under 20s, and if you go down to under 16s, we have 3 or 4 huge units who dominated the under 16s comp this year, including the downright scarey Max Bradbury, who is the best I've seen since Kade Snowden.
We can afford to lose guys like Guerra and Glasby go when their current contract is up because we have about a dozen young guys coming through.

When the contract is up yes.

We should only be looking at signing 2 or 3 quality players.
Signing 10 or 12 or more a year like the last 3 years is not what we need to do now.
If we have Brailey, I'd say all we need is a quality player who can play 5/8 and fullback to cover for injuries and we are set - and we might even have that covered with Tex Hoy.
Maybe another good winger would be useful with SKD and Lee both getting on a bit, and no obvious firstgrade quality wingers coming through.

Quality players is what we need to cover those positions that currently are a bit weak, centre as Moga is not going well, 6-7 because a long term injury to Pearce would be catastrophe especially with a lack of 5/8, not convinced on Lino/Watson if want to be final contender. Pack is strong if we retain well and hooker is good if we have Levi with Brailey.
With Ross, Stone and possibly Griff, Woolford and Buhrer gone we should be able to afford a half back and a centre to round of our side with juniors coming through

1 Ponga , Mann and Watson
2 and 5 Skd , Lee , Hunt , Toa , Best , Hoy
3 and 4 Ramien , Hunt , Moga , Mann , Sione ...Maybe buy a centre if we get rid of Moga
6 Lino , Watson and Mann ….Not sure how people are not convinced about Lino the kids playing bloody good footy .
7 Pearce , Lino , Mann , Crosland
9 Levi , Watson , Brailey , Mann ….Personally I think 9 is Watsons best position
As far as hooker halves and backs are concerned I don't think we need to waste money on anyone , I think Brown has most positions covered well .. Also no 1st grade 7 is going to come here and play second fiddle to Pearce and as he is the best 7 in the comp they would have to play reserves not going to happen ..

Dean Richie just said on Fox that we one of 6 clubs showing interest in Jake Turpin.
Not sure wether to believe it or not.
But Brown does like his hookers.
He also plays half.

Saw an article about 21 year old Brydon Ramien playing for a team out west, calling him the Mal Meninga of the west.
He played for Manly juniors as a prop forward and is much bigger than Jesse, but the youtube footage of him running over blokes out west looks just like Jesse on the charge.

He's big , mobile and skilful could be worth a look , NRL fit he could go ok . It wouldn't be the first time someone was plucked from the wilderness and made a go of it .
