Knights possible targets for 2020

Except for one game, Mann has been good for us, and we later learnt that he had a pretty serious injury and played through the pain in the one game he looked bad.
He is only 25 and has nearly 100 firstgrade games, and from what I can see, he is getting better every year.
He'll never play SOO or anything, but he's a decent firstgrader with a lot of years in front of him still and a lot of experience behind him.
Good squad member.
I'm not sure he'd be in our top 17 if all were fit and in peak form, but since that will never happen, he'll probably find a spot in the 17 whenever he is fit.

I think the best part of Kurt’s game yesterday was that he got the ball to Barnett & Ramien early and in quality positions, plus he also made a nice grubber to get a repeat set.

If he can do that every game I’m sure he’ll be the 5/8 for the remainder of the season

He doesn't need to do much either to remain 5/8 IMO. He just has to be enough of a threat so that opposition defences think there's a chance he might get the ball instead of Pearce or Ponga, which will allow us a bit of variety in attack.

Buzz Rothfield is reporting via the DT that Jackson Hastings will return to the NRL and join an ‘Out of town club’

You’d think it’s not Canberra because they’ve signed Williams, and you’d think Titans, Broncos, Cowboys or Storm would be described as an ‘interstate club’

Could it be us?

It might be an unpopular opinion but I wouldn't mind it. I'm still not convinced we have a long-term no 6, and if Pearce goes down I think we would turn to mud without a game manager. For the right money Hastings could be that guy, provided he's not a little brat anymore

Maybe it is those ex roosters that have influenced him, sounds to me we are most likely if RUMOUR is true. We are out of town club, we have ex team mates, we need a 5/8, hope it’s not true but time will tell.

Haven't seen any rumours linking us to him, but what are people's thoughts on us trying to nab Moses Mbye? Seems to be on the outer at Tigers currently and would be a good foil for the halves or the backs. For mine, I'd be happy to take him if the Tigers chipped in plenty of his contract.

He just got made captain.

Don’t rate Mbye at all. He had about half a dozen good games at the start of last year and that’s all he’s ever done.

Knights off contract at the end of this year,
#Buhrer- I'd give him a 1yr minimum deal. His experience, effort and versatility is very valuable.
#Skd- Deserves another deal
#Griffin- Too much of a risk
#Hunt- has earnt himself an upgrade
#Woolford- hasn't done much

Jones, Fermor, Crossland all seem like good young prospects, keep them if we can and the price is right.

Jones needs to get fit and play some good football.
Poor bugger has had injury after injury for 4 years or so.
He could be anything, but he really needs to get over his injuries and put together some good football at some stage.

I wouldn't give Buhrer another contract.
It probably comes down to Buhrer or someone like Matt Croker for top 30 next year, and croker could be anything, while Buhrer will be lucky to get a game in the top grade.
