Round 4: Newcastle Knights v Canberra Raiders - Hunter Stadium

This is my pick, i think roberts has done enough to be number 7 for the whole 80.

1 Darius Boyd
2 James McManus
3 Timana Tahu
4 Anthony Quinn
5 Akuila Uate
6 Jarrod Mullen
7 Tyrone Roberts
8 Kade Snowden
9 Kurt Gidley ©
10 Willie Mason
11 Alex McKinnon
12 Chris Houston
13 Jeremy Smith

14 Danny Buderus
15 David Fa'alogo
16 Neville Costigan
17 Robbie Rochow

R1 Adam Cuthbertson
R2 Korbin Sims

Pretty close to what I would want only difference is I would leave McKinnon in the centres drop Quinn to NSW cup, Rochow to start in the second row, Cuthbertson and Sims on to the bench, Drop Costigan...

I wouldn't want either of them off, could this model work?

First 20:
7. Gidley
9. Buderus

Second 20:
7. Roberts
9. Gidley

Third 20:
7. Roberts
9. Gidley

Fourth 20:
7. Gidley
9. Buderus

Only downfall is Bedsy only gets 40 minutes, but that may preserve him so it could be a good thing.

It could work and your right preserving Bedsy is a good thing imo

RednBlue mentioned in the other thread changes for game will be as follows:

IN:

Mason (Bench)
Gidley (Halfback)

OUT (NSW Cup):

Tahu
Sims

Positional switch:

Roberts > Bench

It should also be noted that Wayne has said he will not confirm the line up until 1 hour before kickoff...Rednblue may very well be right but we won't know until Wayne confirms...If Rednblue is right and Sims and Tahu go to NSW cup that is a move I can not understand also I think Roberts should be the starting halfback

Wayne doesn't make his mind up 1 hour before kickoff. The players would already know... RednBlue will be spot on, I have faith and they've been right on every occasion this year including every change last week bar Gidley who was a late scratching as precaution.

I wasn't saying rednblue was wrong just repeating what I had read on the knights website that the line up wouldn't be confirmed until 1 hour before kickoff that's all maybe I couldv'e worded it better sorry about that...

It won't be confirmed to the public on NRL.com until an hour before kick-off but the players & coaches would certainly know by atleast Friday & Saturday.

I dunno, McKinnon and Quinn over Tahu just seems really strange to me. I don't think I'll be able to believe it until I see it!

Surely you don't believe he's been dropped? He must be there because they don't think he's 100% yet! Surely!

Yeah, well I hope so! But I'd have thought the bench would be the perfect way to return if that was the case.

I mean, there's just players you don't expect to return through NSW Cup, and Tahu is one of them. He's returned from injury loads of times in his career, but I don't think he'd have played down the grades since ... 1999? 2000 maybe?

Surely Quinn isn't ahead of Tahu?! He must be a good trainer because he certainly hasn't showed a lot on the field besides being solid.

Canberra are talking a lot of crap in the ways in which they are going to beat us. Shillington has said up the middle, and croker has said by bombarding Uate with bombs. They seem confident....

That confidence will be shattered once we beat them. I know in the past we have struggled in the games we are meant to win but I feel more confident this year than in previous years we have the depth, a great squad, a great coach and we touched up a side last week who have been touted as premiership contenders. At the end of the day all the talk in the world means nothing....the score after 80 minutes means everything we will win this game :)
