There was nothing wrong with any of the Warriors try, really weak actually. There was some bad calls leading up to the tries though, which is abit disappointing. Either way, at halftime and with all the errors the warriors had made, we should of been well up on 12-4

With the amount of bad calls that went against the knights by the refs, i'm more then happy with his so called "whinging". Better then saying nothing an letting the refs treat you like their b*tch willingly

don't know or don't care whether this has been mentioned....but thank you richie faaoso, for costing us the game with your 2 knock-ons at the most crucial times in the game, and putting us under massive pressure.

besides that, I thought everyone played excellently, but those 2 errors made me want to stab myself.

for some reason, the whole game, I knew it was gonna happen. They had played too well for too long and it had to give, unfortuantely at the worst possible times.

Yeah Gidley needs to accept decisions, I hate his whinging!!!

Agreed...cant stand it sometimes.

The refs do too. He should be having a whinge to the team, not the refs.

I was ok with the Mannering try... BOTD if anything. We were lucky to get that first try anyway.

We lacked ball control second half and crap last play options.

It gets quite embarassing when he starts questioning refs decisions when it is actually the correct call...

And that Mannering try, benefit of the doubt will go to the attacking team.

How they awarded that Mannering try just a try and NOT BOTD is beyond me. You can't say that looking at something 16 times with no conclusive evidence that it has been touched or hasn't doesn't induce reasonable doubt into the equation. Also, in a court of law, the prosecution has to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the offence has been committed. It should be the same out on the field. The BOTD should go to the defending team.

Haha. The video ref isn't a legal proceeding! I thought the very last view they showed made it pretty clear it was off Uate, but in saying that, the earlier ones made it seem off the Warrior. Wasn't upset to see it a try though, I expected that to be the decision.

Still, in society the BOTD goes to the defense. Why should it be any different in sport? In tennis the BOTD goes to the defense so why not RL?

It wasn't completely Richies fault. The 2 dropped balls might have sealed the win but it was Gidley / Uate's 5 minutes of crap that put the warriors back in front. Also, why doesn't Gidley take the 2 points, Richie wouldn't have even needed to handle it then.

I thought Fa'aoso was about our best player until that stage too, so we may not have been in that position without him. Definitely now all his fault, or even close to it. We were no certainty to score by any stretch!

As for benefit of the doubt to the defence, that used to be the rule, and it sucked big-time! You got a heap of likely tries turned down which frustrated everyone. Could MacDougall's try have been botd on Saturday? Yep ... and imagine if that wasn't given! That's how much that rule sucked!

'' Gidley is fast becoming the 2011 version of Toovey with all the whinging to the referee he does'' those be fighting words right there lol, nobodys ever got close to Toovey he was in a class all his own haha ......allthough you cant knock his skill and guts .

People would complain if Gidley didn't argue with the ref, the bloke can't win. Gidley, imo, has never been shown any respect as a captain anyway, he always gets brushed off, this was even before he complained about things we was obviously wrong about.

I think most would appreciate it if Gidley got on with the game and revved up the players rather than nagging the ref all the time. Buderus and Johns used to do it too, to be honest. We haven't had a captain who respected the ref's decisions since Butterfield and Harragon. The people who want Gidley to complain all the time are the same drongos who reckon the refs stuff us each week, and are too one-eyed to see it goes both ways. To be honest, I don't care what they have to say on the subject!

TBH though we have had a few BS calls that warranted it

I don't like that he does it, and although some of the calls deserve it, I can see why he does it, every time he comes out whinging, especially from fullback, it gives the team a small break each time.

Knights should have been awarded vital penalty

http://www.theherald.com.au/news/lo...awarded-vital-penaly/2259360.aspx?storypage=1

- Ref co-coach Raper said they were comfortable with Mannering's try

But

- The tackle in the 74th minute on Fa'aoso where he lost the ball just after the restart after a previous penatly should have been penalised, as it was stripped out by Sam Rapira, not a knock-on.

- The Ref who missed it wont be dropped for the coming round, cos as Raper said, if they started dropping refs for minor things it would leave them no refs left.

So had it been called, Faas wouldnt have copped all the flack he got. Gids would have then taken the 2 15m out (as Stone said he probably would have) or tapped again and mostly likely scored. Either evening us up or putting us ahead and most likely gone on to win the game from there.

Stayed at 7th, closed in on 6th place and given us a shot at 5th or even 4th.

And we wouldnt now have all those people in here now saying the knights dont deserve to be in the 8 or it shouldnt be regarded as anything apart form making up the numbers.

And the ref gets to keep his job cos it was a small error, even though it, like the 100 other bad calls that night, cost us the game.

Interesting how much one decision changes so much about something.
