Your NSW team for Game 3

ok ..this is how i would go for Origin 3. I know this will not be the team but its a dead rubber and NSW need to look at who can stand up at the top level..time for a few young kids and building for the future..time to give some poor performing players a wake up by dropping them for game 3 and time to give some players who have been performing well in the nrl a chance to see if they have got it or not!

I have listed the players + age

looks like we have the same general idea here though i hate playing more than 1 player out of position (just think jennings is better as a winger than centre) They need to let players know they are apart of a developing blues squad for future..eg If they play Hayne at fullback they should bring dugan into NSW meetings (unofficially) also to and let him know if hayne is out your in and that they are looking at him for future..

I'm not set on this team but just a thought, i don't even know if we can win against this red hot Qld team even if we pick the best players we have!

1. Hayne
2. Jennings
3. Lyon
4. B.Scott
5. Morris
6. Sutton
7. Pearce (C)
8. Snowden

"Carr said he would consider any proposal for the Channel 9 commentator to run the Blues' Origin campaign"
looks like they will be trying to do what they can to get Gus back as coach!

Finally they make a good decision

I completely forgot about Sutton, he's been in good form, he's as big as a backrower, could be hard to knock over.

I reckon NSW will go very well if they start thinking like QLD. What they need to do is pick a good nucleus mixed of good young players and experienced players. The when the exp. players retire, others can come in and fit in.

Check out my example:

1. Dugan (When Stewart is fit next year, Dugan to the bench or dropped)
2. Hayne
3. Lyon (c) (Can be replaced with Idris or J.Morris in the next few years)
4. Jennings
5. Meritt (B.Morris or McManus could come in here when Meritt isn't performing)
6. Sutton (Bird should be here, but when he goes Soward or Sutton would be good)
7. Pearce
8. Snowden
9. Ennis (De Gois could be here if his form picks up)
10. King
11. Hindmarsh (When Hindy goes, Paterson, Waterhouse or Creagh would fit here)
12. Watmough
13. Lewis
------------------
14. Gidley
15. Learoyd-Lahrs
16. Mannah/Douglas/Paterson (i reckon all the young forwards should get a go here)
17. White

With that nucleus of a team, players who retire will be replaced by equally or better young players. Doing that, NSW can create what QLD have now.

I cannot believe he offered his resignation with one game to go in the series.

Yes he will not coach the Blues next year, but if the players get selected who have taken part in the worst Origin series for NSW ever, he also should be there to coach them.

This just proves he was never the man for the job, this is the guy who was suppose to lead our Origin team and show them the "Never say die" attitiude required to win the series.

When Hagan coached QLD he Won the last game he coached against NSW at Suncorp but he took it like a man at still went in there with an attitude of "We can do this" Also his starting team for that series was far worse than any team that Bellamy has ever had too coach.

Bellamy is the weakest sack of **** coach there is! He has ruined Kurt's reputation by making him captain when he was traditionally a bench player. Ruined the careers of almost ever potential NSW halves player and never demanded that they re-select players to give them another chance and has now decided that going to game three in Sydney should be put in the Too Hard basket. Well Boo Hoo Bellamy, nobody has ever been given as many chances as this guy! the QLD imposter I say.

NSW ORIGIN SIDE GAME 3

5. Jared Hayne
6. Terry Campese
7. Mitchell Pearce
8. Ben Cross
9. Michael Ennis
10. Luke Douglas
11. Luke Lewis

Captain: Seriously who would be more deserving of the captaincy then Gidley? :noway:

Fullback: Even i jumped on the "move Hayne to fullback" bandwagon last game but for me Hayne has produced two very poor performances from both positions of wing and fullback. Last game just showed how difficult the position of fullback is and how well Gidley has been going. And although it is tempting i wouldn't even think bout putting Josh Dugan in there, i mean there is a huge difference between blooding youngsters for the future and sending lambs to the slaughter. eg mullen, pearce, campese, wallace and williams debut games. :notgood:

Centres: With Lyon and Cooper injuired and Tahu out of control, i believe as i did last game that Josh Morris has to join his brother in the side to solidify a combination down the right hand side and stop silly mis-reads in defence. To be honest i was tempted to pick Tahu over Jennings on the other side due to his superior defence but at the end of the day the Blues need more points and with Gidley, The Morris Twins, Jennings and Hayne these are the weapons you want to score them.

Halves: With Barrett retiring next season and the series lost the Blues have look at their future halves combination. Mitchell Pearce has been blooded so they now have to stick with him. The next question is finding him a partner. Personally i cant split Campese and Bird, obviously everyone is going to pick Bird because of his defence and mongrel but im saying why not both? I mean we have lost 5 series in a row its time we put all of our best players out there and Greg Bird made his name in the NRL at lock and i feel these guys could add sum spark to the side.

Hooker: Michael Ennis is definately an origin style player, however i have my doubts with him over 80 minutes especially at the frantic pace of an origin game. Also with Gidley back in the run on side it free's up the utility role on the bench, i would be filling it with a craig wing style of player. The player ive chosen is Robbie Farah, whether they play Ennis for 40 mins and Farah for 40 mins or bring on Farah for the last 20 mins i feel he would be yet another weapon NSW need in their side. :praise:

Forwards: Seriously we have been absolutely dominated up front in both games so here is where the changes have to be made. Starting props- Ben Cross this guy is by far NSW's most damaging ball runner and is one guy QLD would rather see on the sidelines. The next forward would have to be Luke Douglas, what a player this guy has been for the Sharks he is a guy that screams consistency and deserves his chance. Bench forwards- Tim Mannah, has the fastest play the ball in the game and is in devastating form. Last forward to be honest i would actually like to see someone like Todd Payten get a crack with his offloading ability but considering Jason King was in the squad for the last game id assume they would pick him. :fist:

Returns: Luke Lewis and Anthony Watmough, by the far the most in form players within the NSW squad and will be ready to cause the Maroons plently of headaches.

Retain: Old Hindmarsh, guys we need him.. Plain and simple. His workrate in defence is phenomenal. When the forwards went missing in game 2 Hindmarsh was there to clean up. You can't have your entire side attacking machines you still need guys who can defend especially after the scoreline in game 2.

Result: QLD victory, however if the selectors give this side a chance to gel theres no reason why the cant be competitive next season and end the dominance of the greatest side in rugby league history. :boohoo:

That is about the best team we can pick. Team for the future. Give them a warm up run in game 3, with the intentions of picking everyone of them for the entire 2011 series barring injury and extreme bad form.

Bout time we picked a permanent team based off form and let them play together for 3 or 4 games win or lose to form cohesion.

If we promote Snowden, Douglas and Galloway we will have no need for Fui. Uate however would be amazing but rules are rules.
