Your NSW Blues Side For 2012

Lewis should be used as an interchange weapon. He is easily one or our best but always kills it when he comes off the bench in Origin.

So what does everyone think? A few guys there who shouldn't be there & a few that have been left out.

Going off that i think we will see
1 Dugan - Ricky rates him Highly
2 Uate - Ricky's first picked winger
3 Jennings - You would think he would be the first picked centre
4 Morris - Out of the Lawrence and King Morris is in the better form
5 Morris. - Surely he will go a specialist wing that is in form rather then a specialist flb
6 Maloney/Soward - Way he is talking seems these two are in front
7 Wallace - By the way he talks Wallace up sounds like he is in front atm
8 Weyman - I think he will be one of the 2/3 that will be picked and he will start Pushing Gallen to Lock
9 Buderus. - Sounds like he is a shoe in unless Farah finds some good form (doubt it)
10 Snowden - I feel he is in favour as well Was there last year and i feel will be this year
11 Bird - Was one of our best last year and by the sounds of it he is a guarantee as well
12 Stewart - Same as Bird. He sounds as if he is another guarantee
13 Gallen - Another Guarantee. If not forward he will be in lock where he can play a forward type game if he wants or if needed
14 Gidley - Ricky said he is a Guaranteed pick so he will be off the bench like always
15 Merrin - Was there Last year and will be the 2nd Of the 3 Dragons forwards picked
16 Lewis. - Going off the Article he is a Guarantee as well
17 Watmough - Ricky is a big fan and said in the article he loves having him in his team and camps so sounds as if he is another guarantee pick

Stewart, Uate and Hayne as the back 3 IMO. With them all firing, it could very well be the best back 3 NSW has had for a long time, and with Jennings and King/ J Morris in the centre an excellent back line. Unless Bird and/or Stewart are still injured Gallen should be in the props. Better options then Merrin.

1. Dugan/Stewart if Dugan injured.
2. Uate
3. Jennings
4. J Morris
5. Hayne
6. Campese
7. Pearce
8. Gallen
9. Buderus
10. Tamou
11. Williams
12. Sims
13. Lewis

14. Snowden
15. Merrin
16. Watmough/Scott/Bird (whoever is in form)
17. Carney

If all players are fit we will atleast have a solid chance.. We cannot match Qld with combinations, class or experience so our chance lies in players with the X factor and trying to beat the living **** out of the them by winning the physical contest! This team has size, speed and NO speed humps to worry about. Has a nice balance of youth and experience in both the forwards and backs as well as players with that X factor who on their day can win a game from nowhere. Interested in others thoughts on this team?!?

1.Brett Stewart(regularly beats match ups with slater
2.Brett Morris
3.Micheal Jennings
4.Beau Scott(Has great record with shutting down GI)
5.Akuila Uate
6.Todd Carney(Line attack and defence)
7.Jarrod Mullen(Kicking game and defence)
8.Keith Galloway
9.Ryan Hinchcliffe(Is a vital selection knows the storm players and is great around the ruck)
10.Paul Gallen
11.Greg Bird
12.Glen Stewart
13.Luke Lewis

14.Terry Campese
15.Feleti Mateo
16.Tony Willams
17.Trent Merrin

18.Anthony Watmough

1. Josh Dugan
2. Jarryd Hayne
3. Michael Jennings
4. Josh Morris
5. Akuila Uate
6. Todd Carney
7. James Maloney (even though still playing halfback, still use his running game)
8. Paul Gallen
9. Danny Buderus
10. Kade Snowden
11. Glenn Stewart
12. Anthony Watmough
13. Greg Bird

14. Luke Lewis
15. Tony Williams
16. Tariq Sims
17. Trent Merrin

Big forward pack to wear down Queensland, then the impact of the bench to rip apart queensland then to have all those big backs with that much speed running off James Maloney and Todd Carney, i reckon this could be the team that actually beats queensland! Thoughts?

Heres a much needed edit to my last team which was awful. After watching a bit of footy ive come up with this:

1. Brett Stewart (Really have no idea. Haynes knee is buggered, Stewart and Duggan have both been/are injured?)
2. Brett Morris
3. Michael Jennings
4. Josh Morris
5. Akuila Uate
6. Todd Carney/Jarrod Mullen
7. Jarrod Mullen/Todd Carney
8. James Tamou
9. Danny Buderus
10. Paul Gallen
11. Tony Williams (Left Fringe)
12. Glen Stewart
13. Luke Lewis (Right Fringe)

14. Kade Snowden
15. Ryan Hinchcliffe
16. Tariq Sims
17. Jamal Idris

I just really hope Beau Scott or Creagh arnt picked. I reckon these two boys would have bombed 10 tries in origin between them last year and god knows how many for the dragons. Not once have I have seen them pass or even look outside them for the centres/suppport, regardless of how much space or how big of an overlap is existent. They should go back to junior footy and learn what the draw and pass concept is. I dont how good their defence is its not worth giving up tries.

imo the nsw team will be it changes every week lol

1 Dugan 2 Uate 3 Jennings 4 J.Morris 5 B.Morris 6 Hayne 7 Carney 8 Tamou 8 Bedsy 10 Weyman 11 Watmough 12 Bird 13 Gallen 14 Merrin 15 Stewart 16 Lewis 17 Gids

There is no way Hayne will be NSW five-eighth. He's only there for City coz they have noone else.

I actually like the idea of Hayne at 5/8, it gets him more involved and off the wing and it also lets Dugan or Stewart play fullback. The downside is a player like Carney or Mullen will miss out

There is still no way he'll be picked there. And if he is, NSW are doomed, especially when he's playing on one leg.

He sets up more tries than any of NSW's actual halves do! I'd give him a run there, why not?

NSW are a disgrace, they ramble on about keeping the same side together and now they want to drop one of the best kickers we have and replace him with hop along playing out of position. FFS Hayne can't even play 5/8th at club level adequately!

I seem to remember the last player who Stuart changed the position of in Origin was Gallen to prop, and from memory that worked quite well. :P Hayne is worth a shot.

I'd go

1.Dugan
2.Morris
3.Morris
4.Jennings
5.Uate
6.Hayne
7.Carney
8.Gallen
9. Ennis
10.Tamou
11.Scott
12.Lewis
13.Bird

14.Hinchcliffe
15.Watmough
16.Snowden
17.Douglas

Ennis cant even make the country side LOL Buderus will be the Blues hooker (and maybe even captain) theres no questions about it. Gidley is certain to be 14, Stuart's already confirmed and I think Mateo or Trex HAVE to be there.
